Ducati Enjoys Record Revenues In Third Quarter

Thanks to the best September ever Ducati reports another record revenue for the third quarter of 2022

Yet another revenue record is registered by Ducati in the first nine months of 2022 with 872 million euros

Demand remains high with an order portfolio up 92% over the same period of last year

49,873 motorcycles delivered to passionate clients worldwide

Borgo Panigale (Bologna, Italy) – Ducati concludes the third quarter of 2022 with very positive results. The company registered another record figure for revenue, increased its operating profit and reported a year-on-year growth in deliveries after volume losses in the first half year due to supply and logistics issues.

In fact, during the first nine months of 2022, the revenues recorded by Ducati amounts to 872 million euros. This represents the highest figure ever reported by Ducati over the same period in the past years, and a growth of 21% compared with 2021.

Improved figures are registered also for operating profit that grows from 67 to 109 million euros in comparison with the same period in 2021. This marks a 62% increase.

49,873 motorcycles have been delivered to passionate clients since the beginning of the year, a number slightly above the same period of 2021 (49,719). This means that the year-on-year loss in deliveries reported by Ducati in the first semester of 2022 has been recovered in the third quarter. Great flexibility and a constant dialogue with partners and trade unions were the key to achieve this balance.

Claudio Domenicali, Ducati CEO: “The third quarter of 2022 has seen a strong improvement in the ongoing supply and logistics crisis. Thanks to this recovery and an efficient strategy carried out with our suppliers and partners, we were able to make up for the delivery shortfall we experienced in the first half of the year. Furthermore, despite all difficulties the financial results of Ducati are outstanding and represent yet another record in terms of revenues. This financial performance is very relevant in order to finance the future plans of the company and maintain Ducati’s trailblazing attitude when it comes to motorcycle technology. Thanks to the shared vision with our shareholder we are more committed than ever to consolidate the brand as a Lovemark and continuously raise the bar of the experiences we offer to all Ducatisti.”

Henning Jens, Ducati CFO: “After having managed severe supply chain disruptions throughout 2022, we were able to fully recover the lost production volumes at the end of the third quarter. As a result our revenues reached a new record level at 872 Million euros at the end of September 2022 with a growth of 21% compared to last year. Based on a strong price position paired with strict discipline on fixed costs, we could improve the Operating Profit for the same period by 62% versus previous year, resulting in 109 Million euros at the end of September. This represents a return on sales of 12.5%. At the same time we could maintain a strong net liquidity position and now see Ducati set up in a very robust financial position to face potential future challenges and to further invest in the enhancement of our attractive product portfolio.”

China has the best growth rate among main markets

Italy is confirmed as first market with 8,283 bikes delivered, followed by USA with 6,595 and Germany with 5,701. The strong popularity of the brand keeps rising in China, the fourth market for Ducati, where the growth remained constant during Q3, with 4,103 units delivered which represent a further increase of 15% over the same period of 2021.

Multistrada V4 remains the most popular model

The Multistrada V4 reaffirms its position as the best performing model of the Ducati range also in the third quarter, achieving 8,776 units delivered during the year. After it comes the Monster with 6,903 bikes and the Scrambler Ducati 800 family with 5,771.

A unique brand experience

Through exclusive collaborations Ducati confirms its attractiveness in the lifestyle world and true to its mission continues to offer unique entertainment opportunities.

Important partnerships during the year have seen Ducati centre-stage next to brands of excellence such as Lamborghini, Bulgari, Poltrona Frau and Carrera. Collaborations which have resulted in unique creations, inside and outside the world of two wheels.
The MotoGP Experience gave the chance to some Ducatisti to try out on track the official Ducati Lenovo Team bike, the Desmosedici GP, the pinnacle of a racetrack riding experience: an opportunity that no other brand offers to its most passionate clients.

An increasingly global brand

Ducati is establishing an increasingly global and solid position as never before thanks to an extensive dealer network that will reach more than 820 stores by the end of 2022 in more than 90 countries.

The New Diavel Becomes V4!

Adopting the V4 Granturismo engine, the performance and riding pleasure of Ducati Diavel become even more exhilarating

Spectacular lighting system and a bursting exhaust make the muscular and organic, style typical of Diavel even more distinctive

29 lb lighter for even more surprising riding performances

Borgo Panigale (Bologna, Italy), October 28, 2022 – In the sixth episode of the 2023 Ducati World Première web series, Ducati unveiled the new Diavel V4.

The Ducati Diavel V4 is unique, unmistakable and with a bursting personality.  With the introduction of the sophisticated V4 Granturismo engine, the Diavel’s performance becomes even more astonishing. With its 168 hp and 93 ft lb (126 Nm) of torque, the Ducati 1,158 cc V4, is the ideal engine for a muscle cruiser, capable of combining linear power at lower revs with vigorous torque throughout the rev range.

Muscular, sporty, exaggerated and elegant at the same time the Diavel V4 combines the unique technical, dynamic and stylistic features of sport nakeds and muscle cruisers. This machine responds to the many different desires of motorcyclists, from the sports enthusiast looking for a more comfortable and stylish bike to those looking to ride in an urban and relaxed setting to the lover of performance and drag racing iconography.

The updated Ducati Diavel V4 surprises with dynamic performance, the ability to gratify in sport riding, and excite with impressive acceleration and deceleration, as well as cruise at low speeds. Nothing goes unnoticed due to the unmistakable Diavel V4 stage presence. Even more—it astonishes with its aptitude for mid-range touring while remaining amazingly comfortable for rider and passenger.

Unmistakable Line

The Diavel V4 communicates an important presence from first glance. Muscular and gritty, with its broad “shoulders” and proudly visible four exhaust exits, the 2023 Diavel V4 immediately declares the sophisticated engine architecture. The Diavel V4 draws inspiration from muscle cars and superhero aesthetics and reproduces an image of an athlete ready to sprint off the starting blocks, with all the masses concentrated on the front and an agile, streamlined tail.

The signature full LED front and rear light clusters and turn signals also contribute to unmistakable Diavel V4 appearance. The front DRL* changes shape, with a double-C profile, that evolves from the previous stylistic feature.

The rear light cluster consists of a matrix of punctiform LEDs positioned under the tail with an unmistakably Ducati lighting signature: a unique, unprecedented and spectacular solution that’s instantly recognizable.

As with previous Diavels, the massive 240/45 rear tire remains a distinctive element. The wheels are a five-spoke alloy with a profile embellished with machined surfaces—one of the most refined elements of the Diavel V4 aesthetics.

Engine

The Diavel receives the 1,158 cc V4 Granturismo engine, a central element of the bike’s design. This technical choice simultaneously improves performance, dynamics and riding pleasure because of Ducati’s sophisticated choice of a counter-rotating crankshaft, which reduces the gyroscopic effect while increasing the bike’s agility.

Powerful (168 hp), rich in torque at every rpm (with a peak value of 93 ft.lb (126 Nm) at 7,500 rpm) but also extremely light and compact, the V4 Granturismo (which derives from the Desmosedici Stradale of Panigale and Streetfighter V4) is at the same time smooth and enjoyable from the lowest revs. It is also characterized by low operating costs, with major maintenance at 37,000 miles (60,000 km) intervals—a record value on the world scene—and efficient in fuel consumption and emissions due to the extended cylinder deactivation system. This feature shuts off the rear bank not only when the vehicle is stationary, but also while riding at low engine speeds under reduced engine load.

The Twin Pulse firing order, together with the dedicated exhaust system developed with specific attention to “sound quality”, unmistakably characterizes the stamp of the V4 Granturismo. The extended deactivation system for the rear cylinders, which allows the engine to operate as a twin-cylinder or as a four-cylinder with an imperceptible transition due to its gradualness, generates a change in the tone of the exhaust noise as it switches from one mode to the other. A deeper sound, with lower frequencies, characterizes the V4 Granturismo when only the two front cylinders are active. The frequencies, become higher when all four cylinders are operating.

Chassis and Ergonomics

The V4 Granturismo exhilarating performance engine is combined with surprising agility and dynamics for such a motorcycle. The Diavel V4 has a curb weight without fuel of 491.6 lb (223 kg), for a saving of more than 28.6 lb (13 kg) (11 lbs (-5 kg) on the engine, 17.6 lb (-8 kg) on the vehicle) compared to the Diavel 1260 S. All without any compromise in terms of component refinement and effectiveness, with an inverted 2 in (50 mm) fork and a cantilever-pattern shock absorber, both fully adjustable. The braking system relies on Brembo Stylema® calipers and dual 13 in (330 mm) front discs.

The result is a motorcycle capable of breathtaking acceleration and deceleration. In fact, the performance of the 168 hp V4 Granturismo, combined with the 240/45 rear tire and dedicated gearing, allows it to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (100 km/h) in less than 3 seconds while delivering a truly impressive drive.

The supersport-like braking system, with 13 in (330 mm) discs and Brembo Stylema® calipers, ensures record-breaking slowing performance, with peak deceleration values of as much as 37.7 ft (11.5 m)/s2: a value that generally characterizes racing motorcycles. And only obtainable thanks to a very refined calibration of the ABS system.

The rider can also enjoy a low seat (31.1 in (790 mm) from the ground), central footpegs and high handlebars set .78 in (20 mm) closer than on the Diavel 1260, which make it easier to use, especially when maneuvering. These specs are in the center of the bike, maintaining a riding position that provides comfort while also visually conveying a feeling of control and self-confidence.

Comfort also improves substantially on long rides thanks to the rear suspension, which increases in travel by 0.6 in (15 mm) over the outgoing model, and especially to the wide, well-profiled seat. The Diavel V4 seat is designed to offer maximum freedom of movement in every direction, offering benefits for those interested in sportier riding.

The passenger can count on a spacious and comfortable seat, footrests that retract under the tail and a telescopic rear grab bar. The footpegs and grab bar are effectively invisible in the retracted position, and, with the passenger seat cover, supplied as standard and easily installed, allow the Diavel V4 to be transformed from a two-seater to a single-seater with minimal effort.

Electronics

Due to an extremely comprehensive electronic package that enhances the sport naked soul of this bike, riders can safely exploit the Diavel V4 performance. The Diavel V4 arrives with three Power Modes and four Riding Modes: Sport, Touring, Urban and the new Wet, designed for low-traction surfaces. The Riding Modes allow riders to adapt engine delivery and the intervention of riding aid systems (Ducati Traction Control in Cornering version, ABS Cornering and Ducati Wheelie Control) to the rider’s situation and preferences.

Cruise Control makes highway transfers more relaxed, while Launch Control provides scorching starts and Ducati Quick Shift up and down makes shifting less fatiguing and more effective for sport riding.

You can also manage all the electronic systems through backlit controls on the handlebars and the new 5” color TFT dashboard, which also offers Bluetooth connectivity to pair your smartphone for calling, text messaging and music, or use the Turn-by-turn navigation system (available as an accessory) via the Ducati Link App.

Accessories

Enthusiasts who wish to enhance the touring capabilities of the Diavel V4 will discover many options in the Ducati Performance catalog.

The options begin with the semi-rigid cases ready to carry 12.7 gal (48 liters) in capacity total capacity. No worries about mounting brackets; the Diavel V4 is equipped—no luggage pannier frames needed. Also available is a passenger backrest and the touring plexi (windscreen) that provides comfortable trips while with a passenger.

The sportier side of the Diavel V4, on the other hand, is amplified by the street-legal exhaust silencer with a cover and four titanium end caps. For those who want to go further, a full racing exhaust “Spitfire” design is available with four in-line outlets. This non-street legal exhaust features steel headers, a titanium silencer and carbon fiber cover that provides a weight reduction of about 24 lbs (11 kg) and an increase in the maximum power of the V4 Granturismo by as much as 12 horsepower, bringing it to 180 hp.

Billet parts, carbon parts, dry clutch (for racing use only), forged wheels and red or black brake calipers further expand the possibility of customizing the new Diavel V4.

Colors and availability

The new Diavel V4 will be offered in classic Ducati Red or Thrilling Black and will be available in U.S. and Canadian dealerships beginning in Spring 2023.

The United States pricing for the Diavel V4 will begin at an MSRP of $26,695 in Ducati Red color, or an MSRP of $26,995 for Thrilling Black. Canadian pricing for the Diavel V4 will begin at an MSRP of $30,795 CAD in Ducati Red color, or an MSRP of $31,095 CAD for Thrilling Black.

The dynamic video of the Diavel V4 can be seen on Ducati YouTube official channel.

Note from Dylan: In 2022 we saw a number of shared experiences at the Superbike School: husbands/wives, fathers/sons, and a ton of friends coming as duos, trios, quartets, etc. We even had a grandfather/father/grandson trio. For those who came alone, many bonds were struck amongst riders. It’s gratifying to provide an experience that for some is a lifetime milestone shared with friends, old and new.

Note from Keith: After 43 years of California Superbike School, it still amazes me how the experiences from each day we run can seem so new. Each student, even if it’s their 50th time with us, provides something to think about or to improve on how we conduct a school day. I’ve thanked many of you for coming up with your riding problems because that is how our coaches and I sharpen our training. That you or any rider knows their riding could improve, is the perfect attitude to have. It keeps us on our toes and your riding pleasure and fun will grow, we guarantee it.

KTM Launches Refined 450 SMR Supermoto Track Bike

2023 KTM 450 SMR: TAKE THE LONG SLIDE TO SUPERIORITY

MURRIETA, Calif. – KTM North America, Inc. introduces the 2023 KTM 450 SMR, one of the company’s finest expressions of pure READY TO RACE machinery. Even at a glimpse, the latest version of this competition Supermoto weapon reveals a bike purposely built to annihilate the asphalt. In a discipline where tenths of a second and fractions of an inch can make all the difference, the precision and sheer racing intent behind the 2023 KTM 450 SMR are exactly what any Supermoto fan or racer need.

The innovations start with the refined hydro-formed, laser-cut and robot-welded frame. Front-end focus and confidence, along with rear-end stability, define everything that is fast on the Supermoto circuit. KTM has altered longitudinal and torsional flex through frame wall thickness and bracing to make sure that feedback and control are on-point to satisfy any rider – from novice to world championship-level racers. At the rear, a revised shock mount enhances energy absorption and straight-line stability for 2023. The anti-squat behavior translates to better acceleration and corner exit speed, courtesy of its repositioned rotational masses and an all-new, shorter shock body. New, wider foot pegs with tucked in pivot points enhance the feeling that the 2023 KTM 450 SMR can be gripped, turned and pushed however hard the rider wants. The polyamide reinforced aluminum two-piece subframe is another ingredient for overall greater handling with the bonus of superb strength. Rider flow out on the track comes effortlessly working through the high-grade aluminum CNC-machined triple clamps, which are newly designed with increased grip surface for less handlebar twist.

Sliding into turns has never felt easier thanks to the added reassurance delivered by the expertly calculated flex character from the new, diecast aluminum swingarm, new 22 mm rear axle and the latest generation of WP XACT Suspension. XACT 48 mm forks with AER technology have a split-damping function, simple toolless adjusters and are set up for Supermoto domination right out of the crate. Balancing the front-end performance is the new shorter, lighter WP XACT rear shock (shorter but with the same amount of travel), which is fully optimized for tarmac and features several significant upgrades to enable advanced damping characteristics. The new WP XACT shock is the most progressive and capable system seen on a KTM Supermoto machine yet.

Calculated millimeters on corner entry are made possible by a high-powered 4-piston Brembo brake system clamping down on a 310 mm front disc. A 220 mm disc and single piston caliper will bring the rear end around nicely while it’s complimented by the SUTER anti-hopping clutch and Brembo hydraulics that will let riders drift all the way ‘til they shift.

Once the Metzeler Racetec SM K1 tires (with a large usage window and rapid warm-up times) have been abused into the apex, the unmistakable firepower of the 2023 KTM 450 SMR gets everything winding forward. The new SOHC engine is designed with mass centralization as the goal and blasts out massive power and torque from a physically smaller overall package compared to the previous edition. The engine itself has been tilted back and the sprocket dropped by 3 mm with new cylinder internals and crankshaft optimization as other markers of the 2023 set-up. PANKL Racing Systems have supplied a redesigned 5-speed gearbox with a new transmission ratio. To make quick work of shifting, the fresh Quickshift sensor on the shift drum allows for clutch-less upshifts from second to fifth gear (this can also be disabled through the handlebar switch). The Keihin Engine Management System will administer the traction control, launch control and Quickshift actions and the ability to flick between two selectable engine maps.

Throwing the whole package into place on-track is now simpler with new ergonomics and the sculpted rider ‘triangle’ that permits even better contact points between motorcycle and user. There won’t be a better or harder-looking bike on the track than the 2023 KTM 450 SMR. The 1990s-derived splash of purple adds to the READY TO RACE graphic vibe together with the flat orange seat and white tail.

2023 KTM 450 SMR TECHNICAL HIGHLIGHTS

// Acute new anti-squat frame concept for unbeatable agility, sensitivity and stability

// Lighter and more durable 63 hp engine package for peerless power to weight ratio

// New generation advanced and easy-adjusting WP Suspension

// Searing braking components from Brembo

// Performance-led parts from foot pegs, compact exhaust system, electronics, wheels and tires

// Improved ergonomics to accentuate agility and centralization: better lap times

// Unmistakable race-orientated graphics and one of KTM’s best color schemes yet

The 2023 KTM 450 SMR will arrive at authorized KTM dealer floors from November 2022 onwards. For more information, visit ktm.com.

Australian Superbike: American Travis Wyman Racing Final Two Rounds

Travis Wyman to make Australian Superbike Championship debut at Phillip Island round Nov. 18-20

MotoAmerica veteran to compete aboard Addicted to Track Yamaha R1

LAS VEGAS — The MotoAmerica season wrapped up in September, but Travis Wyman hasn’t run his last professional road race in 2022 yet. The two-time runner-up and first-ever winner in MotoAmerica’s Stock 1000 class heads down-under to race an Addicted to Track Yamaha YZF-R1 at the mi-bike Motorcycle Insurance Australian Superbike Championship presented by Motul round at Phillip Island on Nov. 18-20.

The event will mark Wyman’s first time competing in Australia’s pro road racing championship’s Superbike class. The Las Vegas resident finished runner-up in the 2022 MotoAmerica King Of The Baggers Championship and third in the 2022 MotoAmerica Stock 1000 points standings.

Wyman is looking forward to his first-time racing at the popular Phillip Island circuit, as well as racing in front of the stars of the FIM Superbike World Championship – which will be concluding its 2022 season at Phillip Island that same weekend.

Though he has yet to race at Phillip Island, Wyman has some familiarity with the circuit. He worked as an instructor with the California Superbike School at an event that took place there in 2016.

“I am so excited to return to Australia and have the opportunity to compete in ASBK,” Wyman said. “Racing abroad is something that I have dreamed of doing for many years. Phillip Island is such an iconic track. I think the Yamaha will take a little bit of time to get adjusted to, but my good buddy Mike Jones is currently leading the championship on a Yamaha so I feel we should have a good package. I am grateful for the opportunity that Mark McGregor and the Addicted to Track team have presented me. And I am hoping we can keep the momentum rolling from the MotoAmerica season into Phillip Island.”

Wyman begins his collaboration with the Addicted to Track team at a testing session on Nov. 11 in preparation for the round at Phillip Island and may compete in the Australian Superbike season finale at The Bend Motorsport Park Nov. 25-27.

Standard Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) and new “ECO”  riding mode

The BMW R 1250 R’s standard Dynamic Traction Control delivers a high level of riding safety by providing optimum traction while the new standard “ECO” mode helps make riding as fuel-efficient as possible.

The ECO riding mode, joining RAIN and ROAD, allows the rider to make the most of BMW Motorrad ShiftCam engine technology to achieve the maximum range. In ECO mode, the rider is encouraged to ride as fuel-efficiently as possible with a soft throttle curve and moderate engine torque limitation. In ECO mode, the TFT color display additionally provides an efficiency display. If you want maximum performance – for example for overtaking or riding uphill – the ride mode button can be used to switch to a different mode quickly and easily.

Standard BMW Integral ABS Pro and Dynamic Brake Control (DBC)

The latest version of the R 1250 R features standard BMW Integral ABS Pro. This braking system offers even more safety when braking while leaning in turns. As the riding mode concept continues to expand, more new functions will be added. For example, the ABS control will be adapted further to the different riding modes. DBC increases safety when braking, even in difficult situations, by avoiding unintentional throttle activation. By means of intervention in the engine control, drive torque is reduced during braking so as to make full use of the braking power at the rear wheel. This keeps the motorcycle stable and shortens the braking distance.

Standard full LED headlight with optional adaptive turning light

The standard full LED headlamp already illuminates the road with an unrivalled bright, clear light. Enhanced safety when riding at night is ensured by the optional adaptive turning light. The rider benefits from better illumination into turns thereby ensuring even safer riding at night. The adaptive turning light works by switching on additional LED elements in the main headlight that are fitted with their own reflectors, depending on the lean angle. It is activated from an inclined position of 7° to 25° and a speed of more than 6 mph. New standard features also include redesigned LED Comfort turn.

TFT color display with “Sport” Core Screen

As before, the new R 1250 R is equipped with a TFT color display featuring integrated arrow navigation and extensive connectivity, excellent readability, clear menu navigation and a highly integrated operating system.  The rider can choose between customized screen displays for various purposes. This also includes the “Sport” Core Screen, which provides real-time information about the current and maximum lean angle as well as control interventions – such as ABS Pro or DTC.

USB socket and seat heating for rider and passenger

The new BMW R 1250 R already offers two different standard sockets. The previous 12-volt on-board power socket plus an additional USB-A socket with a 5-volt power supply. This widely used type of USB socket with newly developed charging electronics allows you to charge a smartphone while riding by connecting a cable adapter. Up to 2,400 mA charging current is available, enabling fast charging depending on the type of smartphone used.

An optional seat heating system for both rider and passenger significantly increases comfort when temperatures are low. Heated seats are available in combination with heated grips. A new, convenient operating concept has been developed for the rider’s seat with five heating levels. The heated grips settings – in combination with the seat heating featuring five instead of two heating levels – are operated via a menu. The passenger seat heating has two heating levels and is operated by a toggle switch at the bottom right of the seat.

Colors and new solo seat rear cover

In standard trim, the new BMW R 1250 R is finished in Ice Grey non-metallic in conjunction with a black frame. With the optional Triple Black and Style Sport variants, the owner can choose from two expressive color combinations.

The new optional solo seat rear cover underlines the sporty style of the new R 1250 R. The passenger seat is replaced with a painted plastic cover and the passenger footrests and passenger handles are removed.

If you want to keep the R 1250 R fully suitable for passenger use, the Passenger Kit is available as an alternative option within the model variants. It contains all the components that are eliminated by the solo rear.

Style Sport variant:

Body color in Racing Blue Metallic, white frame, gold front/rear brake calipers, black sports handlebars, blue front spoiler, solo seat rear cover or passenger seat.

Triple Black variant:

Black Storm Metallic body color, Agate Grey frame, gold front/rear brake calipers, stainless steel radiator grille, stainless steel engine spoiler, Pure tank trim, solo seat rear cover or passenger seat.

WERA GNF: Even More From Barber Motorsports Park

Birmingham, AL – Dan Kruger and his Nature Power Kawasaki Superbike Team win WERA National Challenge Superbike and Open Supersport Championships

After 25 podiums and a full championship season behind them, the Nature Power Kawasaki Superbike Team took the WERA National Challenge Series Championships in both Superbike and Open Supersport classes. They also won numerous WERA regional Championships and an AMA Grand National Championship this past weekend at Barber Motorsports Park.  Competition was fierce with Taylor Knapp, Stefano Mesa, Geoff May, and a host of other top MotoAmerica stars battling it out all season.

Dan suffered what looked like a season-ending injury five weeks ago at Road Atlanta during the N2/WERA Endurance race.  He suffered a concussion, several broken ribs, a bruised lung, and a badly fractured collarbone.  He got the collarbone plated and was back on track two weeks later where he unfortunately had yet another crash.  With his confidence at a low, the team headed into the WERA GNF (Grand National Finals) at Barber this past weekend.  The team had built a new 2022 Kawasaki ZX-10R racebike for the GNF and the motor blew on lap two of practice day.  Crew Chief Stefan Kuehn worked all night to build a new bike from the frame up and the team used the N2/WERA endurance race the following day as more of a test to set up the newly built bike.

Tracks: One track has risen in popularity among all who attended: Pitt Race in the Pittsburgh area. If you’re looking for something new, this is a good choice. Smooth, great grip, almost 3 miles long, elevation changes, and great facilities. We will be at The Ridge in Washington twice (July & August.) Also New Jersey Motorsports Park is getting a repave! If you’re in the Northeast, you can be among the first to ride the fresh track next year (May & August.) For those in colder areas with a shorter riding season, we have Las Vegas events (Feb, March, & April) then returning in the fall. We will be at Barber twice (May & July.) The Barber 2-Day Camps tend to fill quickly there so keep that in mind. We will be going to Sonoma but the track is still sorting out its schedule so if you’re interested, give us a call and we will let you know when the dates are firm.

Addicted to Track is a motorsports logistics company that helps its clients get out on race tracks more often – in Australia and abroad — through its fleet of race-ready motorcycles. To learn more about Addicted to Track, visit http://addictedtotrack.com.

Woodcliff Lake, NJ – October 27, 2022…BMW Motorrad proudly introduces the updated 2023 BMW R 1250 R roadster. The naked boxer roadster has been a BMW success story since the very first BMW motorcycle was produced in 1923 – the 494 cc, 8.5 hp boxer-twin powered R 32.

The 2023 BMW R 1250 R continues the 100-year-old tradition of combining agility, performance and comfort in a package that is as suitable for twisty mountain roads, daily commuting, and even two-up tour.

The 1,254 cc 2-cylinder air/liquid-cooled boxer engine delivers 136 hp and 105 ft-lbs of torque and meets EU5 emissions regulations. Thanks to BMW ShiftCam technology, which varies intake valve timing and lift, the R 1250 R delivers outstanding power and torque across the entire rpm range with the added benefits of quiet and smooth operation and excellent fuel economy.

The highlights of the 2023 BMW R 1250 R:

  • Unchanged MSRP from 2022 – $14,995.
  • Air/liquid-cooled boxer engine with BMW ShiftCam technology for varying intake  valve timing and valve stroke.
  • Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) – Now standard.
  • BMW Motorrad ABS Pro (part integral) – Now standard.
  • Dynamic Brake Control (DBC) – Now standard.
  • New LED turn indicators.
  • New full LED headlamp with adaptive turning light – optional.
  • New solo seat rear cover.
  • New Option 719 spoke wheels – optional.
  • Three riding modes with New “ECO” mode for economical riding – standard.
  • New standard Ice Grey paint and optional Triple Black and Style Sport Racing Blue Metallic.

Dan rode with significant pain and the team came up with the strategy that was needed to win the National Championships for Pirelli (Thank you, Oscar.) and the rest of the team’s sponsors that include: Xlite, RK, Mototron, EBC, HEL, SK Support, Titanic Kawasaki, PSI, Dainese, K-Tech, Kinetik, Nature Power, and Hindle.  A huge thank you to all of them.  We look forward competing in 2023 in various series and will announce our plans in the coming weeks.  Follow the team’s news at www.facebook.com/dankrugerracingteam and thank you for almost getting us to a million followers.
