Mission Foods Is Back As Title Sponsor For 2022 King Of The Baggers Series

World’s Leading Brand Of Tortillas And Wraps Renews With Three-Year Deal. Seven-Round 2022 Series Kicks Off At Daytona In March

IRVINE, CA (December 14, 2021) – MotoAmerica, North America’s premier motorcycle road racing series, is pleased to announce Mission Foods, the world’s leading brand for tortillas and wraps, will continue as the title sponsor of its Mission King Of The Baggers Series for the next three years, beginning with the expanded seven-round 2022 season.

With a year of title sponsorship under its belt from the inaugural three-round Mission King Of The Baggers Series in 2021, Mission returns to again be the naming rights holder of the championship that has grown to seven rounds for the 2022 season. The series will kick off with two races in the highly anticipated season opener on the high banks of Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida, March 10-12.

“I think it’s great that Mission Foods is on board with us again as a sponsorship partner for 2022 and beyond,” said MotoAmerica President Wayne Rainey. “We had a successful season with the Mission King Of The Baggers Series last year and Mission proved to be a wonderful partner for us. We’ve added four races to the King Of The Baggers schedule for the coming season and it will all kick off during Bike Week at Daytona International Speedway. We can’t think of a better place to start the series than Daytona and we look forward to another awesome series with Mission as our title sponsor for King Of The Baggers.”

With Daytona set to start the season with the opening two races, the other five rounds will be held at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta (April 22-24), Road America (June 3-5), WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca (July 8-10), Brainerd International Raceway (July 29-31) and New Jersey Motorsports Park (September 9-11).

“We are very excited to extend our partnership with MotoAmerica for another three years, 2022 to 2024, and become the official entitlement sponsor of the King of the Baggers Series under the name Mission King Of The Baggers,“ said Juan Gonzalez, Chief Executive Officer, Mission Foods. “As a leading global food brand, it is a great opportunity to not only interact with our consumers in a fun and exciting environment but also support the motorcycle sport community. I strongly believe that our partnership will create unforgettable moments for all race fans.”

Last year’s King Of The Baggers Championship came down to a fierce battle between Harley-Davidson’s Kyle Wyman and Indian’s Tyler O’Hara with Wyman winning the decisive final round at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca to take home the title. Those two will again spearhead the efforts of the Harley-Davidson and Indian factories on their H-D Screamin’ Eagle Road Glide and Mission Foods S&S Cycle Indian Challenger, respectively.

Each of the seven rounds of the series will feature a MotoAmerica purse of $10,000. Additionally, a Mission King Of The Baggers Challenge sprint race will be held at the six events and will feature a winner-take-all $5000 purse. The Challenge will feature the fastest top six Mission King Of The Baggers racers from qualifying.

The three-round 2021 MotoAmerica King Of The Baggers Series generated more than 21 million impressions and an engagement of 1.5 million on social media with the races delivering over 1.4 million views and 64,000 total hours of viewing time on YouTube. As for linear TV, the 2021 season garnered 280,000 AA Nielsen Households on Fox Sports.

The Mission King Of The Baggers races will again air on Fox Sports in 2022.
