ASI MOTO SHOW OF VARANO, ITALY MAY 12-14, 2023

Varano, Italy – Rob Iannucci, Team Obsolete Padrone, will be a Special Guest of Honor and Team Obsolete’s Matchless G50 “Wagonwheels” will appear at this year’s ASI Moto Show May 12-14 in Varano, Italy.

The ex-Peter Williams “Wagonwheels,” the revolutionary Arter Matchless G50 that placed second in the Senior TT three times (1969, 1970, and 1972), also held the 102.74 mph single-cylinder lap record until 1997!

“Wagonwheels” was the first bike ever to wear cast magnesium alloy wheels (hence the nickname) coupled with equally groundbreaking use of twin disc brakes and wind cheating bodywork.

“Wagonwheels” was the last privateer and the last single-cylinder machine to effectively complete in the World Championship.
