Ezra Beaubier, a 21-year-old from Roseville, California, will race in the MotoAmerica Stock 1000 and Superbike Cup classes in 2022.

“It’s a dream come true,” Beaubier told Roadracingworld.com, “and I never thought I would get here.”

Beaubier, the younger brother of five-time AMA Superbike Champion and current Moto2 World Championship racer Cameron Beaubier, only raced part-time for several seasons over the last few years but came on strong last season.

The younger Beaubier competed in MotoAmerica’s KTM RC Cup in 2015 and 2016, earning two top-10 finishes. In 2017, he earned top-10 finishes in MotoAmerica Superstock 600 and won AFM Championships in 600 Superstock and 600 Superbike.

But Beaubier then sat out most of 2018, missed the majority of 2019 due to a broken collarbone, and didn’t ride on a road race track at all in 2020.

“Then at the start of 2021 I got hooked up with the Motorsport Exotica guys,” said Beaubier, who spent the 2021 season racing a Kawasaki ZX-10R with AFM in California.

Beaubier won three out of seven AFM Formula Pacific races (AFM’s premier class) but came up short of winning the Championship, which went to fellow MotoAmerica racer Cory Ventura.

For 2022, Beaubier will ride a Motorsport Exotica/Orange Cat Racing/BST Vodka BMW M 1000 RR in all rounds of the MotoAmerica Stock 1000 and Superbike Championships starting April 8-10 at Circuit of The Americas.

More, from a press release issued by Motorsport Exotica:

Motorsport Exotica Orange Cat Racing BST Vodka Team to make the jump from SoCal club racing to the MotoAmerica grid.

After many years of club racing championships and podium status, Motorsport Exotica the SoCal based race shop has entered into a partnership with Orange Cat Racing and Blood Sweat and Tears Vodka (BST) to create the Motorsport Exotica Orange Cat Racing Blood Sweat and Tears Team.

Proudly fielding Ezra Beaubier #16 aboard a 2022 BMW M1000RR, they will make an aggressive run at the top step in both Stock 1000 and Superbike Cup for all 10 rounds of the 2022 MotoAmerica Series.

The MSE team and Ezra were dialed and ready for another season of Race CRA and AFM on the west coast on board a recently purchased 2022 BMW S1000RR but after discussions with Andrew Sieja (founder of Orange Cat Racing based out of Chicago) and Umberto Luchini and Brian Kirschenmann from Wolf Distilleries / Blood Sweat and Tears Vodka they were able to make the jump up to Nationals with a mere 5 weeks. This time frame includes obtaining bikes, building, figuring out logistics, staffing and prepping for the season.

“Andrew and I, alongside our existing sponsors came to this final arrangement for the team’s inception on February 23rd of 2022 and  the MSE staff haven’t slept since.  BMW really stepped up and helped us secure not one but two of the 2022 M1000RR’s. We have had a steady stream of parts rolling in daily in an attempt to get these bikes ready and dialed in for C.O.T.A.” – Team manager and crew chief Jarred Fixler states.

The Motorsport Exotica Orange Cat Racing Blood Sweat and Tears team is supported by not only OCR and BST but also help from Motoworks Chicago, a BMW dealership helping with all OEM needs. Followed by support from CTML IT Consultants providing IT assistance trackside, Apex Assassins providing track time for testing, Core Moto, Superlite Sprockets, CT Racing, Weir Everywhere Racing, and Bell helmets, Ezra should be a force to be reckoned with.

“I have been training and preparing for an opportunity like this for a long long time. I was stoked when the Exotica guys called me 2 years ago to ride with them at the club level, but this really is my dream. With my family name being fairly common in the MotoAmerica paddock I am really looking forward to giving people another Beaubier to talk about!” – Team Rider Ezra Beaubier

“We really couldn’t be happier with this program. We are excited to step up and generate a name for the new team! With our opening race being the same weekend as MotoGP and Moto2, in C.O.T.A. I know both the Beaubier brothers are surely ready to roll!” -Jarred Fixler
