Marietta, Georgia – December 1, 2016 – Following several years away from the racetrack, Opie Caylor is thrilled to announce his support of WERA Motorcycle Roadracing! CayloR-Made Motorsports has signed on with WERA to be the Southeast region’s presenting sponsor in 2017. The very region that Opie started racing in, back in 1995!

“I am so excited about this opportunity!” says Caylor. “While at the 2016 WERA GNF, I ran into Evelyne and we started talking. During that conversation, it dawned on me that I’ve been coming to the GNF since 1995. That’s 21 years! I am so thankful for the people and experiences that have taken place in my life. None of these things could have ever happened, if I had never tried racing in WERA’s Southeast region. I met my wife Tracy at the 1997 GNF and we’ve been married for 17 years now. I learned the inner workings of owning a race shop while working for Paul and Kathy Wright at 1888FASTLAP from 1998 until 2005. I’ve experienced some of the highest highs and some of the lowest lows. If I went back right now and did it all over again, I wouldn’t change a thing! That is why this opportunity means so much to me. It’s a way to further my legacy in a series that I have been involved in for so long. Plus, it’s a way to give back to Evelyne Clarke and everyone else at WERA. And, to not only support the sport of motorcycle road racing but, all of the new riders coming in as well.”

“WERA Motorcycle Roadracing is happy to have CayloR-Made Motorsports step up to be our presenting sponsor for the WERA Southeast region. Opie Caylor began his racing career with WERA Motorcycle Roadracing in 1995 and has raced on the AMA Pro level and continues to race with WERA. This is a great way for a racer who enjoys racing with us, to put his name and business on the region he called ‘home.’  We look forward to working with Opie and his CayloR-Made staff in 2017,” said Evelyne Clarke, CEO of WERA Motorcycle Roadracing, Inc.

While attending Southeast Sportsman Series events in 2017, CayloR-Made Motorsports will be trackside offering an array of racetrack specific items. Additionally, Opie will be available during these events to ask questions and provide feedback. Who knows, he may even do a little racing! Hope to see you next year!
