American PJ Jacobsen To Race For Factory MV Agusta Team In 2017 Supersport World Championship

Team MV Agusta Reparto Corse is pleased to announce its new WorldSSP rider Patrick “PJ” Jacobsen. The 23-years old from Montgomery, New York, will ride the MV Agusta F3 675 vice-world champion in the 2017 WorldSSP season.

After only three full seasons in the WorldSSP Championship, Jacobsen has collected 13 podiums, finishing 6th in 2014, 2nd in 2015 and 4th in 2016. Thanks to his qualities of speed and technical expertise, the young American rider will aim to bring the MV Agusta Reparto Corse team on the top of the WorldSSP charts and get the first WorldSSP Title for the Italian manufacturer

Patrick “PJ” Jacobsen – “I’m really looking forward to this new adventure with MV Agusta. To be joining with the Italian manufacturer is a privilege. Already having a test on the bike in Jerez, I felt really comfortable on the bike after a few sessions. I’m really looking forward this year with MV and seeing what we can accomplish. Biography – Born and Raised in Montgomery (NY), in 1993, Patrick Jacobsen started riding at age three. In his career Patrick has achieved several milestone, like becoming 125 US Champion, AMA Flat Track Rookie of the Year, entering the MotoGP Academy, finishing 5th at CEV 125 and collecting podiums and wins in BSB Superstock, Supersport and Superbike. In WorldSSP World Championship Jacobsen closed 6th in 2014, 2nd in 2015 and 4th in 2016.

PJ has a strong passion for the Dirt Track, and over the years he got over 30 amateur titles in the United States.
