Moto2: Acosta Under Race Lap Record In FP1 At Mugello

Spaniard Pedro Acosta led Moto2 Free Practice One (FP1) Friday morning at the Mugello Circuit, in Italy, with a lap time that was quicker than the existing Race Lap Record. Riding his Triumph-powered Red Bull KTM Ajo Kalex, Acosta lapped the 3.259-mile (5.245 km) road course in 1:50.928, which was faster than Sam Lowes’ Race Lap Record of 1:51.208, which he set in 2021.

Americans Joe Roberts (1:51.959) and Sean Dylan Kelly (1:53.662) were 12th and 27th, respectively, in the session.
