JuniorGP World Championship: Finale Is This Weekend At Valencia

LAST CHAPTER OF 2023: one round remains as Valencia calls for season finale

In a season which has seen history made, records broken and storylines in abundance, it all comes to a close in Cheste this weekend

With three titles out of four decided ahead of the final round, the 2023 Finetwork FIM JuniorGP™ World Championship draws to a close this weekend at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia. The Spanish venue has been a traditional staging for the final round of the year, crowning Champions and paving the way for dreams to come true throughout illustrious careers. With two JuniorGP™ outings and one Moto2™ European Championship race, European Talent Cup race and Stock European Championship race each – not to mention a title up for grabs in ETC – we’re in for another memorable weekend.

With victory last time out, Angel Piqueras (Team Estrella Galicia 0,0) arrives to the season’s closing double header in Valencia with the JuniorGP™ crown already secured; a double winner in Valencia from earlier in the year, he’s 79 points ahead of Luca Lunetta (AC Racing Team), who took a third podium and season-best P2 last time out at Aragon. In stark contrast to the gap between the top two, there’s just six points that split Lunetta from Alvaro Carpe (STV Laglisse Racing), with the Spaniard keen to snatch the runner-up spot on the final race day of the year.

Behind Carpe, fourth place belongs to Xabi Zurutuza (MTA Junior Team), who became the 100th different winner in the class back at Portimao. He’s just a further eight behind his fellow countryman ahead of him and 14 behind P2 overall. The same points situation applies for Joel Esteban (Aspar Junior Team), who is level on points with Zurutuza and keen to bounce back after crashing out of victory contention at MotorLand Aragon last time out. He took out teammate Joel Esteban (Aspar Junior Team) at Turn 13 and the Australian lies sixth in the standings, five points back of Esteban.

In the Moto2™ ECh, the title has already gone the way of Senna Agius (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP Junior Team) following a double last time out; he’ll look to end his season on a high at the track where he’s already been a winner at this year. In a season where he’s been able to take a first win, Xavi Cardelus (Promoracing) will look to consolidate his second position in the Championship overall as the final round welcomes the battle for runner-up spot. Just behind him and 21 points adrift, Alberto Surra (Team Ciatti-Boscoscuro) will need a first win in the class if he’s to make up the deficit to Cardelus.

Whilst the JuniorGP™ and Moto2™ ECh titles are in the bag, the same can’t be said for the European Talent Cup; Maximo Quiles (Aspar Junior Team) is in the driving seat with an 18-point lead over long-time rival Brian Uriarte (Team Estrella Galicia 0,0) with five wins compared to Uriarte’s three. They are the only two within mathematical contention in Valencia, with just one race remaining. A ninth place finish or higher will be enough for Quiles, even if Uriarte wins, whilst if Uriarte doesn’t win but finishes in P2, Quiles will need 14th or higher. Uriarte must finish in the first two places to have any chance of lifting the title trophy on Sunday. Third place at least is already secured by Guido Pini (AC Racing Team), with the defending Champion still just 14 points behind Uriarte, meaning runner-up spot is possible. Earlier in the year, Quiles was the rider who took a fine Valencia double.

As for the Stock class, Daniel Muñoz (SP57 Racing Team) already clinched the title with a fine P2 performance last time out at Aragon; he’ll be looking to finish his season on a high, whilst Aragon’s race winner Eric Fernandez (FAU55 TEY Racing) looks for back-to-back wins for the first time in 2023. Will the pair continue their rivalry and sign off the year on a high? Marco Garcia (Easyrace Team) is a distant third place, 28 points behind Fernandez and chases his first rostrum since Portimao.

The Sunday race schedule for the final round of the FIM Finetwork JuniorGP™ season is as follows:

11:00 – JuniorGP™ Race 1: 17 laps

12:00 – ETC Race: 16 laps

13:00 – Moto2™ ECh Race: 18 laps

14:00 – JuniorGP™ Race 2: 17 laps

GASGAS Launches 2024-Model Electric Balance Bikes

INTRODUCING THE WORLD’S RADDEST ELECTRIC BALANCE BIKES – THE GASGAS MC-E 1 RANGE!

AWESOME NEW MODELS OPEN UP THE WORLD OF TWOWHEEL FUN TO EVEN MORE YOUNG RIDERS

GASGAS is stoked to reveal the GASGAS MC-E 1.18 and MC-E 1.20! Exciting new additions to our already awesome line-up of electric balance bikes, these rad models with adjustable power modes, hydraulic front and rear disc brakes, and strong aluminum frames let the kid (or kids) in your life shred to their heart’s content. The MC-E 1.18 and MC-E 1.20 are the real deal. Check them out in person from fall 2023 onward at your local GASGAS dealer!

GASGAS adds two awesome electric balance bikes to its line-up

Super-strong construction allows for some serious shredding

Find these all-new models in GASGAS dealerships from this fall onward!

GASGAS’ electrified line-up includes the just-launched MC-E 2, the e-motocrosser MC-E 3 and MC-E 5, and the super-popular MC-E 1.12 and MC-E 1.16 balance bikes. Slotting right in between our e-minis and our fully-fledged mini 2-stroke racers, the new MC-E 1.18 and MC-E 1.20 emphasize GASGAS’ commitment to getting more people into the two-wheeled lifestyle.

As the next choice for young shredders progressing in performance, the MC-E 1.18 gets even closer to full-on dirt bike status! Capable of hitting a super-cool top speed of 18 mph when spinning up the 18-inch knobby tires, this new balance bike really raises the bar with its BMX-style fork and hydraulic disc brakes. Best for kids between the ages of 8 and 10, once they have their technique and riding skills dialed, they’ll then be ready for an MC-E 5, MC 50, or MC 65!

Ideally suited to riders around 10-12 years of age, MC-E 1.20 is the top of the electric balance bike world. With three power modes to suit beginners through to kids who have no fear, anyone that rides an MC-E 1.20 will have the time of their lives. Whether it’s used for learning the basics or being ridden by airtime-chasing thrill-seekers looking to send it for the first time ever, lifelong riding skills and cherished memories are guaranteed with the MC-E 1.20. The MC-E 1.20 is designed to be tough. Built around a strong, but lightweight, TIG-welded aluminum frame, its 20-inch nylon wheels roll on sealed bearings for a minimal amount of resistance and battery usage. Up front, the Manitou J-Unit Machete fork offers 80mm of travel, while hydraulic disc brakes front and rear slow riders down in a hurry if things get a little wild.

One of the coolest things about both the MC-E 1.18 and MC-E 1.20 is just how customizable they are, adapting easily as riders grow in speed, size, and confidence. On the bars, a choice of three ride modes can be engaged to limit the top speed, while an adjustable seat height makes sure your little one can always touch the ground when they need to. Each bike is super-light also, with the MC-E 1.18 weighing in at 31 lb and the MC-E 1.20 carrying a tad more mass at 33 lb. Either option ensures that young riders can ride freely, focusing on their skills, and parents can easily lift the bike into the back of a car for secure transport.

A great addition to our line-up, the MC-E 1.18 and MC-E 1.20 join our super-popular MC-E 1.12 and MC-E 1.16 to create a range of awesome balance bikes. For youngsters just starting out in the world of two wheels, there really is no better way to learn how to ride than on one of these little red rippers. We know there are already so many kids around the world having an absolute blast down the park, at the pump track, and in their backyard aboard a GASGAS balance bike, which gives everyone here at GASGAS HQ a real buzz!

Take a closer look at the GASGAS MC-E 1.18, MC-E 1.20, and the rest of our e-powered bikes online today. The all-new MC-E 1.18 and MC-E 1.20 land in GASGAS showrooms this fall.

SBS Introduces New Rear LS Brake Compound

SBS introduces new rear LS brake compound

SVENDBORG, DENMARK. – SBS, the leading brake pad manufacturer for motorcycle aftermarket, introduces the new LS rear compound, and equivalent V-Twin compound H.LS, with improved brake performance as part of the SBS Better Brakes-series.

Motorcycle riders will now – with the new SBS Better Brakes LS – have the option to equip their brake systems with SBS Better Brakes in both front and rear. Thus, riders can achieve an improved brake performance throughout their system, while also reducing their environmental footprint when riding motorcycles.

Improved performance

The new LS compound has a significantly improved performance of 8.5%, compared to the old LS, when it comes to stopping distance. The rear brake is often used together with the front brake. With the front and rear availabilities of SBS Better Brakes, riders get even better maneuverability in brake situations, while also getting the same brake effect with the use of less force.

On top of the shorter stopping distance, riders will also get features such as:

– Slightly more grip in initial bite

– Better lever feel throughout the brake sequence

– Improved heat stability and fade resistance

– Overall improved comfort when braking

Positive impact also for mechanics

The product transition into SBS Better Brakes includes transition of more than 95% of brake pad products produced by SBS, and the removal of hazardous materials from the production at the manufacturing plant in Denmark. The reengineering gives way for an improved working environment for mechanics and in workshops worldwide.

SBS Better Brakes sinter compounds are produced without Copper, Nickel and ceramic compounds without antimony.

Improved heat stability and feel in racing

For racers using LS in rear, there will also be an improvement as the new LS will have a more stable heat friction curve and improved brake feel. LS is recommended for riders using the rear brake occasionally or only slightly when entering turns.

All brake pad products will be equipped with integrated NRS Technology which lock the compound material to the backing plate and all compounds for public road, will be approved according to ECE R90.

The New SBS Better Brakes LS will be launched during EICMA 2023 and is expected to be available for consumers during Q1 2024.

Pennsylvania Senate Honors Harley-Davidson And Davidson Family

Pennsylvania Senate Honors Harley-Davidson, Willie G. Davidson and Davidson Family

Harrisburg PA – Last week, the Pennsylvania Senate issued a proclamation honoring Willie G. Davidson, the Davidson family and Harley-Davidson, Inc. for 120 years of continuous motorcycle production and 50 years of assembling motorcycles in the company’s York, Pennsylvania manufacturing plant.

Willie G. Davidson, Harley-Davidson’s Chief Styling Officer Emeritus, recently published a memoir, which chronicles company history and his life as a descendant of the founders and leader of the iconic company. He makes mention of the York manufacturing plant several times in the book, titled Ride Free, A Memoir.

The recognition for Davidson and Harley-Davidson was led by Pennsylvania Senator Chris Gebhard and Senator Kristin Phillips-Hill. The ceremony presenting the citation took place outside the capitol building in Harrisburg on October 25, 2023 and was attended by government officials, Harley-Davidson dealers, riders, Harley-Davidson’s General Manager of York Manufacturing Chris Yurista Sr. and Karen Davidson, Harley-Davidson Marketing Director and daughter of Willie G. Davidson.

The citation from the State of Pennsylvania reads as follows:

In the Senate,

Whereas, Harley-Davidson, Inc., is celebrating the momentous occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of its York plant; and

Whereas, Observing its one hundred twentieth anniversary in 2023, Harley-Davidson Inc., was founded in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1903 by William Harley and brothers Arthur, William and Walter Davidson.  In February 1973, American Machine and Foundry assembled the first Harley-Davidson motorcycle at its York plant. Now known as Harley-Davidson Vehicle Operations, the York facility assembles the Touring, Softail, CVO and Trike models and performs a variety of manufacturing operations. It also offers free factory tours and is home to a gift shop and the Vaughn L. Beals Tour Center, which allows visitors to explore exhibits that detail the manufacturing and assembly processes of the factory.

Yamaha Launches New 2024 MT-09 SP

Superior Darkness: Yamaha Announces All-New MT-09 SP With Premium Specification & Exclusive Features

MARIETTA, Ga. – November 2, 2023 – Following up the announcement of the exciting all-new 2024 MT-09, Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA is proud to unveil the ultimate high-performance Hyper Naked middleweight, the all-new 2024 Yamaha MT-09 SP. Along with the same extensive list of upgrades seen on the class-leading MT-09, the new MT-09 SP takes the exceptional platform even further with a higher level of specification including upgraded suspension and brakes, track-focused technology and electronics, plus exclusive SP color scheme and finish for an unmatched Dark Side experience.

A Decade of the Dark Side of Japan

The introduction of the MT-09 marked a step away from conventional Japanese motorcycle design and introduced a bold, abstract new direction for Yamaha inspired by the unique urban motorcycle sub-culture found on the streets of Japan’s largest cities. Signifying an exciting new era, the MT-09 featured aggressive styling, a chassis designed for light, agile handling and a torque-laden CP3 engine to stimulate the senses. Stripped of unnecessary bodywork, packed neatly into a compact aluminum frame and equipped with Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T), the MT was the perfect blend of high performance, cutting-edge technology and purposeful functionality. The Dark Side of Japan was unleashed upon the world.

The heart of the new 2024 MT-09 SP remains Yamaha’s world-renowned 890cc DOHC CP3 engine, providing high-revving power, instant torque and a unique crossplane Triple soundtrack unlike anything else on the street, further enhanced through the addition of Acoustic Amplifier Grilles located on top of the newly designed fuel tank. The potent CP3 is housed in a lightweight, compact controlled fill (CF) aluminum frame, contributing to the bike’s predictable handling and razor-sharp agility. Adding confidence and control is Yamaha’s advanced electronics suite, which includes a four-mode Traction Control System (TCS), Slide Control System (SCS), front wheel Lift Control System (LIF), two-mode Brake Control System (BC), a new Back Slip Regulator (BSR) and SP-exclusive Engine Brake Management (EBM).

Finally, expanding on this winning MT-09 formula, a number of additional SP-exclusive features provide committed enthusiasts with the highest level of specification, resulting in the most advanced, most capable motorcycle in its class.

Exclusive R1M-Inspired SP Colors & Finish

Along with its aggressive next-generation MT styling, SP specification raises the bar with a striking and distinctive R1M-inspired colorway. Also featured is the SP’s hallmark polished and clear coated aluminum swingarm, making the new MT-09 SP’s exclusivity and special status immediately recognizable at a glance.

New Brembo® Stylema Front Brake Calipers

New for 2024, the MT-09 SP now boasts premium-spec Brembo® Stylema monoblock calipers paired with a Brembo® radial master cylinder for the ultimate stopping power. The Stylema calipers feature a slimmer piston and brake pad area compared to conventional calipers, as well as being lighter, more rigid and offering enhanced control. In addition, larger-diameter pistons create more braking force, allowing MT-09 SP riders to experience a new level in braking performance.

Premium Fully Adjustable Suspension

Premium SP-exclusive suspension brings Supersport-level handling and precision to the Hyper Naked class. Top-spec KYB® forks and Öhlins® rear shock feature a higher spring rate offering outstanding stability during spirited riding. The DLC-coated, 41mm KYB® forks offer full adjustability for preload, rebound, and high- and low-speed compression damping, allowing SP riders to fine-tune set-up to suit a variety of situations. Completing the MT-09 SP’s high-end suspension package, the Öhlins® shock is also fully adjustable, and comes equipped with a remote preload adjuster enabling quick and easy changes.

SP-Exclusive Track-Focused YRC Settings

MT-09 owners can customize their riding experience via new Yamaha Ride Control (YRC) settings, which allow the selection of engine power characteristics and electronic intervention levels. In addition to factory and custom settings available on the standard MT-09, SP specification adds four exclusive TRACK modes allowing for more specialized track settings including the option of choosing between two Engine Brake Management settings and the ability to turn rear ABS off. The on-track riding experience is further enhanced by a dedicated SP-exclusive TRACK theme for the MT-09 SP’s new five-inch full-color TFT display featuring a prominent lap timer.

New Smart Key System

Taking the next step in technological advancement, the 2024 MT-09 SP becomes the first Hyper Naked to incorporate Yamaha’s Smart Key System. When the smart key is within a specified range of the motorcycle, such as in your pocket, the engine can be started by turning a newly designed switch. The new system also features a lock and unlock function for the fuel tank cap for added convenience.

A record-breaking engine thanks to the maximum power of 77.5 hp and the 10,250 rpm maximum rotation which constitute new benchmarks for the category. This engine derives from the twin-cylinder of the 1299 Panigale, from which it inherits the 116 mm bore piston, combustion chamber, titanium intake and steel exhaust valves and Desmodromic distribution, the same solution that Ducati uses in MotoGP (all the technical details of the Superquadro Mono engine can be found here).

Its electronic package, unrivalled in the category, allows the less expert to learn to ride like a Supermotard rider, supported by ABS Cornering which for this bike boasts settings specifically developed to manage “sideways riding” on the track.

The same package allows more experienced riders to fully exploit the high power of the Superquadro Mono engine and the stable and rigorous chassis. The Hypermotard 698 Mono combines the precision of the front end of Ducati sports bikes with the typical nimbleness of Supermotards, for easy, intuitive and above all fun riding like a fun bike should have. This balance was achieved thanks to chassis dimensions that allow for a more neutral and communicative front end compared to motorcycles derived from the offroad world, which are typically more understeering.

Added to all this is a design that enhances the presence of the new Superquadro Mono engine and which combines the distinctive traits of racing Supermotards such as simplicity, aggressiveness and visual lightness with the cleanliness and sophistication of the surfaces to which Ducatisti are now accustomed.

Unmistakable Ducati style

The new Hypermotard 698 Mono combines a typically Supermotard racing aesthetic, essential, compact and aggressive, with the clean lines and attention to surfaces typical of Ducati design.

The result is a slim and sleek motorcycle. The superstructures reduced to a minimum immediately communicate Ducati sportiness and enhance the vertical development of the new Superquadro Mono. The high and flat seat, the high front mudguard, the sharp tail and the rear number plates are all elements that confirm its attitude.

In line with Ducati style, the five-spoke alloy wheels with a “Y” design combine a sporty look with the advantage of lightness. Another unique element are the double silencers mounted at the top, on the sides of the tail, a distinctive element of the Hypermotard family as well as the racing Supermotards. The super compact LED headlight integrates the DRL function with a double “C” light profile and makes the Hypermotard 698 Mono a motorcycle that does not go unnoticed. The same light signature is found in the rear position light.

The fun-bike personality of the Hypermotard 698 Mono emerges clearly in the RVE version, characterized by the dedicated ‘Graffiti’ livery. This colouring was created with the use of water decals with the aim of obtaining refined and complex graphics inspired by works of street art.

Superquadro Mono engine

The Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono debuts the new Superquadro Mono, the latest addition to the Borgo Panigale engines which presents itself as a new performance benchmark among single-cylinder road bikes. All the information on the new Ducati engine can be found here.

Powerful, light and compact, it comes from the most powerful and refined twin-cylinder ever created by Ducati: the 1,285 cc Superquadro of the 1299 Panigale. It retains the 116 mm bore of that engine, a record value for a road single-cylinder, combined with a stroke of 62.4 mm for a displacement of 659 cc, and highly sophisticated solutions.

The box-in-box piston, the titanium intake valves, the aluminium cylinder liner, the piston pin equipped with DLC coating and naturally Desmodromic distribution make the Superquadro Mono capable of revving at speeds normally reserved only for racing single cylinders (the limiter is set at 10,250 rpm) and delivers a maximum power of 77.5 hp at 9,750 rpm.

The torque, whose maximum value is 6.4 kgm at 8,000 rpm, is distributed in a particularly favourable manner, resulting in linear delivery that can be exploited in sports riding. Furthermore, thanks to the Termignoni racing exhaust, in track configuration the power increases by 7 horsepower reaching the incredible value of 84.5 hp, another record for a single-cylinder.

Electronics

The standard electronic equipment of the Hypermotard 698 Mono is the most complete in its category and includes many of the controls present on the Panigale V4, developed specifically for this bike. There are ABS Cornering, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, Engine Brake Control, Ducati Power Launch and Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) Up/Down, which can be purchased as an accessory for the standard version and is supplied as standard on the RVE version.

The goal is always the same: to increase riding fun. And with the Hypermotard 698 Mono, less experienced riders will be able to approach Motard-style riding with the certainty of being able to count on sophisticated electronics.

The Hypermotard 698 Mono has four riding modes (Sport, Road, Urban and Wet) to which the Engine Mode (available on 3 levels), DTC, EBC and ABS levels are assigned by default, which can be modified by the rider. Everything is managed by the 3.8″ LCD instrumentation with white characters on a black background to ensure the readability of the information. As on the Panigale V4, the Hypermotard 698 Mono also features an indication of gear change and when the limiter is reached.

The Hypermotard 698 Mono is the first Ducati to offer four levels of ABS. Two of these integrate the Slide-by-Brake functionality, which through the use of the rear brake allows safe and repeatable cornering when powersliding in sporty riding on the track.

With the ABS set to level 3, when using the rear brake during aggressive braking on the track, the Slide-by-Brake activates, allowing the bike a contained yaw angle that is easier to manage. Just brake, start entering the corner and the electronics will take care of the rest. This level was developed for less experienced riders on the track who want to start approaching sideways riding when entering corners. With this level of Slide-by-Brake, rear powerslides become more easily controllable, leaving room for fun.

When ABS is set to level 2, Slide-by-Brake allows for a wider sideways angle and more pronounced powerslides into the corner. This level was developed for sporting use on the track for those who already have experience with powerslides but want to be able to count on the safety offered by the ABS system.

For more experienced riders who want to independently manage powerslides when entering corners on the track, level 1 is available in which the ABS, not Cornering, is active only on the front.

Finally, the ABS of the Hypermotard 698 Mono also has level 4, developed for low-grip situations to guarantee maximum stability and safety. It is associated by default with Wet Riding Mode.

The bike offers 4 levels of Wheelie Control. Levels 4, 3 and 2 ensure maximum acceleration out of corners while minimizing lift from the front wheel. Level 1, however, was developed for use on the track and allows controlled and safe lifting of the front, maximizing both performance and fun.

Furthermore, exclusively for use on the track, the Ducati Performance software for Ducati Wheelie Control is available as an accessory. This functionality can be activated only in association with the Termignoni Ducati Performance exhaust, not street-legal, and provides an additional assistance strategy called Wheelie Assist. In this case the electronics assist the rider in executing and maintaining a prolonged wheelie, regulating the angle using the engine torque delivered.

Chassis and ergonomics

The Hypermotard 698 Mono is compact and lightweight, with a curb weight of 151 kg without fuel. A result obtained thanks to solutions such as the trellis frame with differentiated sections and thicknesses weighing only 7.2 kg, capable of combining strength with rigidity and lightness, to the cast rims (-0.5 kg compared to similar spoked wheels), to the brake discs with aluminium flange (-17% compared to a steel unit) and to the lightweight Marzocchi fork, fully adjustable and equipped with external adjusters, with upside-down front forks and 45 mm aluminium sliders, weighing only 8.1 kg.
The double-sided swingarm, light and essential, works via a progressive linkage with a fully adjustable rear shock absorber. The rims are fitted with Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres, measuring 120/70 ZR 17 at the front and 160/60 ZR 17 at the rear.

The front braking system relies on a single 330 mm disc developed specifically by Brembo for the Hypermotard 698 Mono, with Brembo M4.32 radial caliper. At the rear there is a single 240 mm disc, also with a dedicated design.

The riding position is designed to guarantee maximum control in sports riding, supporting both traditional riding with the leg stretched towards the ground and that with the knee on the ground. The variable section handlebar determines a dominant position, favouring body movements. The advancement is adjustable through eccentric U-bolts.

The design of the footrests is studied to maximize the lean angle. Furthermore, by removing the rubber inserts it is possible to obtain maximum grip with racing boots when used on the track thanks to a specific processing of the edge. The extremely slim upper structure of the bike and the flat saddle covered with an optimized grip fabric facilitate body and leg movements.

Accessories

Enthusiasts who wish to exploit the high performance of the Hypermotard 698 Mono on the circuit will find various proposals in the Ducati Performance catalogue, starting from the Termignoni racing exhaust, racing seat, motard footrests, as well as sliders and protective covers for the engine crankcases.

There are also different carbon fibre components, which help to lighten the Ducati single-cylinder and make it more aggressive: from the front panel to the heat shield for the exhaust manifold, up to a homologated muffler in titanium and carbon fibre. Finally, those who want to embellish the aesthetics will find various parts in aluminium machined from solid, such as brake and clutch levers, the relative reservoirs or the fuel cap, and dynamic direction indicators.

Apparel

The Hypermotard 698 Mono is a fun bike. Easy to ride, fun and with great style. For this reason, Ducati has created a dedicated clothing line.

The Overlay Yo jacket is the main piece of the collection, with a contemporary and original design created in collaboration with Drudi Performance. It combines a transparent outer fabric with a thermoregulating 3D mesh. This super-versatile jacket, produced by Spidi Sport, can be connected to a protective vest for use on a motorbike.

The collection is enriched by the sweatshirt, certified for use on motorbikes thanks to the technical fabric reinforcements and CE protectors on the shoulders and elbows. The perfect match is with the dedicated helmet with an aggressive Supermotard look and a strong personality.

The collection also includes technical boots specific for Motard riding and sports shoes designed for daily motorbike use.

Colours and availability

The new Hypermotard 698 Mono will be available in dealerships in the Ducati network starting from January in the classic Ducati Red with powder-coated frame, or in the RVE version with dedicated graphics, black frame and DQS quickshifter as standard.

For younger riders, in possession of an A2 licence, Ducati offers the version with power limited to 35 kW. In this version the Superquadro Mono delivers 43.5 hp at 6,250 rpm and 5 kgm at 5,750 rpm.

United States pricing will be $12,995 for Ducati Red and $14,495 for the RVE Edition.
Canada pricing will be $15,295 for Ducati Red and $16,395 for the RVE Edition

16:00 – Stock ECh Race: 18 laps

Whereas, The Senate of Pennsylvania takes great pride in recognizing those businesses which stand the test of time and continue to offer quality products and services to customers throughout this Commonwealth; and

Willie G. Davidson, the grandson of one of the original founders, along with his wife, Nancy and their children Michael, Bill and Karen, were instrumental in the stability of the York plant. Since its inception, Harley-Davidson, Inc., has maintained a tradition of excellence, remaining responsive to the ever-changing interests of the community it serves. Its steady progress is a tribute to key leaders and dedicated employees who have carried it to its present heights and built a foundation for a bright future.

Now therefore, the Senate of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania joins with Harley-Davidson, Inc.,  in celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of its York plant; extends warmest wishes for a future replete with ever-increasing success;

Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono: the new benchmark for road Supermotards

The perfect fun-bike: fun, essential and light like a racing Supermotard; beautiful, sophisticated and high-performance like every Ducati

The first Ducati single-cylinder Supermotard is equipped with the new Superquadro Mono engine, the most sophisticated and high-performance in its category thanks to 77.5 hp of maximum power and a maximum rotation speed of 10,250 rpm

The Hypermotard 698 Mono is equipped as standard with electronics that allow you to learn to ride like a real Supermotard rider

Thanks to technical solutions derived from the world of the Panigale, the Hypermotard 698 Mono is a motorcycle with great responsiveness and sports-like riding precision, with an engine that pulls like no other

Borgo Panigale (Bologna, Italy), 2 November 2023 – In the fifth episode of the Ducati World Première web series 2024, Ducati revealed to the public the new Hypermotard 698 Mono, the first Ducati single-cylinder Supermotard.
The Hypermotard 698 Mono was created with the sole objective of thrilling through the curves, between the curbs of the tracks but also in the city, transforming every move into the most fun moment of the day. An objective achieved by applying technical solutions derived from the world of the Panigale for the engine, electronics and chassis to a new segment for Ducati, thus creating a motorbike capable of providing unforgettable emotions once on the saddle.

The Hypermotard 698 Mono is in fact designed and built to achieve maximum performance on asphalt and is equipped with the new Superquadro Mono, the most sophisticated and high-performance single-cylinder road engine ever made.
