GASGAS adds two awesome electric balance bikes to its line-up

Super-strong construction allows for some serious shredding

Find these all-new models in GASGAS dealerships from this fall onward!

GASGAS’ electrified line-up includes the just-launched MC-E 2, the e-motocrosser MC-E 3 and MC-E 5, and the super-popular MC-E 1.12 and MC-E 1.16 balance bikes. Slotting right in between our e-minis and our fully-fledged mini 2-stroke racers, the new MC-E 1.18 and MC-E 1.20 emphasize GASGAS’ commitment to getting more people into the two-wheeled lifestyle.

As the next choice for young shredders progressing in performance, the MC-E 1.18 gets even closer to full-on dirt bike status! Capable of hitting a super-cool top speed of 18 mph when spinning up the 18-inch knobby tires, this new balance bike really raises the bar with its BMX-style fork and hydraulic disc brakes. Best for kids between the ages of 8 and 10, once they have their technique and riding skills dialed, they’ll then be ready for an MC-E 5, MC 50, or MC 65!

Ideally suited to riders around 10-12 years of age, MC-E 1.20 is the top of the electric balance bike world. With three power modes to suit beginners through to kids who have no fear, anyone that rides an MC-E 1.20 will have the time of their lives. Whether it’s used for learning the basics or being ridden by airtime-chasing thrill-seekers looking to send it for the first time ever, lifelong riding skills and cherished memories are guaranteed with the MC-E 1.20. The MC-E 1.20 is designed to be tough. Built around a strong, but lightweight, TIG-welded aluminum frame, its 20-inch nylon wheels roll on sealed bearings for a minimal amount of resistance and battery usage. Up front, the Manitou J-Unit Machete fork offers 80mm of travel, while hydraulic disc brakes front and rear slow riders down in a hurry if things get a little wild.

One of the coolest things about both the MC-E 1.18 and MC-E 1.20 is just how customizable they are, adapting easily as riders grow in speed, size, and confidence. On the bars, a choice of three ride modes can be engaged to limit the top speed, while an adjustable seat height makes sure your little one can always touch the ground when they need to. Each bike is super-light also, with the MC-E 1.18 weighing in at 31 lb and the MC-E 1.20 carrying a tad more mass at 33 lb. Either option ensures that young riders can ride freely, focusing on their skills, and parents can easily lift the bike into the back of a car for secure transport.

A great addition to our line-up, the MC-E 1.18 and MC-E 1.20 join our super-popular MC-E 1.12 and MC-E 1.16 to create a range of awesome balance bikes. For youngsters just starting out in the world of two wheels, there really is no better way to learn how to ride than on one of these little red rippers. We know there are already so many kids around the world having an absolute blast down the park, at the pump track, and in their backyard aboard a GASGAS balance bike, which gives everyone here at GASGAS HQ a real buzz!

Take a closer look at the GASGAS MC-E 1.18, MC-E 1.20, and the rest of our e-powered bikes online today. The all-new MC-E 1.18 and MC-E 1.20 land in GASGAS showrooms this fall.
