Bison Opens Contingency Applications For Racing Organizations Nationwide

Bison Announces New Racing Contingency Program to Support Organizations and Riders Nationwide.

Bison is proud to announce the launch of its newly expanded Racing Contingency Program, designed to reward racers and support organizations nationwide with Bison Bucks awards. The program reflects Bison’s ongoing commitment to grassroots racing by partnering with established and emerging organizations, ensuring both broad exposure and meaningful rewards for riders.

  • Program Details

Racing organizations are invited to apply for acceptance into the program. Accepted organizations may select two race classes per season where Bison Contingency will be offered. These classes will be supported at every round throughout the season. Bison encourages the use of the contingency program not only to reward racers in well-attended classes, but also to help attract racers to classes that organizations are seeking to expand.

  • Eligibility

All racers competing in the designated contingency classes are eligible to earn Bison Bucks.  There are no requirements for brands worn, decals on bikes, or sponsor listings.  Awards are structured as follows:

  • 1st Place: $100

  • 2nd Place: $50

  • 3rd Place: $25

Racers must complete a once-per-season contingency form, providing contact information for inclusion in Bison’s rider database. Rider information will be used exclusively by Bison to improve products and programs and will never be sold to outside organizations.

  • Organization Requirements

Participating organizations must hang a banner that Bison provides, in a prominent location at each event, and submit contingency race results to Bison within two weeks of each event’s conclusion to ensure timely award distribution.

  • Commitment to Racing

“Bison is thrilled to continue our investment in the future of motorcycle racing through this contingency program,” said Robert Lackey at Bison. “This initiative not only rewards the athletes who push the limits on track, but also strengthens our partnerships with the organizations that keep grassroots racing thriving.”

MotoGP: Bulega Will Replace Márquez In Portugal & Valencia

  • Nicolò will replace Marc Márquez for the final two rounds of the 2025 MotoGP season. The World SBK runner-up – who tested the Desmosedici GP in a test at Jerez de la Frontera – will make his Premier Class debut on the Desmosedici GP.

At the Portuguese GP, scheduled the next week in Portimao (November 7-9), Nicolò Bulega will make his MotoGP debut with the Ducati Lenovo Team. The Aruba.it-Racing Ducati rider, 2023 Supersport World Champion, 2024/25 production-based championship runner-up, and MotoGP test rider for the Borgo Panigale factory, will replace Marc Márquez for the final two rounds of the season.

In Portimao, Nicolò, who tested the Desmosedici GP for the first time yesterday at the Circuito de Jerez – Angel Nieto, will crown the milestone of his 100th race in the World Championship (50 races in Moto3 and 49 races in Moto2) with this important achievement.

Nicolò Bulega (Ducati Lenovo Team #11):

“I’m very happy to be able to end a season like this one with a last-minute surprise. Making the MotoGP debut is the dream of any kid who aspires to become a rider. Plus, being able to ride the World Champion bike for the final two race of the 2025 makes everything even more exciting. It’ll be a big gamble; I have no expectations. I’ll take this experience calmly, especially because, so far, I’ve only been able to test the Desmosedici GP at Jerez. That said, I’m certainly motivated to do well and give my all. Thanks to Ducati and Ducati Corse for their trust, to Claudio, Gigi, Mauro, Davide, Stefano, and Serafino for making me feel their full support and to Team Aruba.it Racing, with whom we finished a season as protagonists”.

Luigi Dall’Igna (General Manager of Ducati Corse):

“I’m very happy to see Nicolò working on the Desmosedici GP. Nicolò has been part of the Ducati Corse family since 2022, when we wanted him to ride the Supersport bike. We believed in him, and he repaid us with two seasons as an absolute protagonist in Superbike, where he came close to the title and became our reference point as a rider. Furthermore, for next year we announced his commitment, together with Michele Pirro, in the developing the Desmosedici GP with new tires, and the opportunity to race in the final two GPs is the best way to begin working in this new role as a test rider. It will certainly be demanding, but I hope he’ll be able to enjoy this experience: for a young rider, making the debut in the top category of our sport is a great satisfaction”.

Nicolò Bulega

Born in 1999 in Montecchio Emilia, Nicolò began racing in the early 2000s. In 2011, he was the Italian and European MiniGP Junior 50 champion. In 2012, he became PreGP 125 champion, and the following year, he won the PreGP 250 championship. In 2014, he took part in the Spanish championship, where he triumphed the following year. He made his Moto3 World Championship debut in 2015, as a wildcard. In 2016, he raced in Moto3: as a rookie, he achieved a pole position and two podiums. In 2019, he moved to Moto2, a category in which he will compete until the end of 2021.

In 2022, he left the MotoGP paddock to join Ducati. He competed in the Supersport World Championship with Team Aruba bringing the Panigale to the podium. The 2023 was a year to remember: he was the Supersport World Champion with ten pole positions and sixteen wins. This achievement allowed him to make his Superbike debut in 2024: as a rookie, he finished second overall a solid result that he repeated in 2025.

AMA: Bodie Paige Wins Road Race Horizon Award

AMA Congratulates Nicky Hayden AMA Road Race Horizon Award Champion Bodie Paige

Paige becomes the second racer in history to win two Nicky Hayden AMA Horizon Awards in one year

PICKERINGTON, Ohio — Bodie Paige made history during the 2025 AMA Road Race Grand Championship (held in conjunction with the ASRA Race of Champions), becoming just the second rider to obtain two Nicky Hayden AMA Horizon Awards in one year.

Paige won the Nicky Hayden AMA Flat Track Horizon Award in July, and with an outstanding performance at the AMA Road Race Grand Championship in Daytona Beach, Fla., added the Nicky Hayden AMA Road Race Horizon Award on Oct. 19. The Australian-born rider joins Dallas Daniels as the only riders to win two Horizon Awards in one year.

“Bodie Paige is a terrific kid, and truly exemplifies what it means to be a professional in regard to his work ethic, demeanor and character,” AMA Track Racing Manager Ken Saillant said. “Winning two Nicky Hayden AMA Horizon Awards in one year is an incredibly rare feat, and it speaks to Bodie’s skill as a racer and disposition as an up-and-coming professional.”

In 2017, the AMA Board of Directors honored Nicky Hayden’s memory by naming the AMA Horizon Awards in Hayden’s honor. The annual Nicky Hayden AMA Horizon Awards recognize the amateur racers who show the most promise for immediate success in the pro ranks; they are presented in the disciplines of flat track, road racing and motocross.

Although a phenomenal racer with a wide range of accolades across various racing disciplines, Hayden was much more than that. Hayden exemplified the necessary determination, civility, grit and kindness that made him an outstanding professional racer. The racer who earns the Nicky Hayden AMA Horizon Award best represents those qualities, in addition to being outstanding in their racing discipline.

While Paige enjoyed another historic weekend in Daytona Beach, a pair of other competitors also earned special honors.

Thanks to a victory in the 500 Amateur class, Oren Bilik of Staten Island, N.Y., earned the AMA Amateur Road Racer of the Year Award.

Taking home the AMA Vet/Sr. Road Racer of the Year Award was Antal Halasz of College Point, N.Y., who has claimed the award in each of the last three years. Halasz won the Vet 40 1000 Expert class en route to this honor.

• With a prominent XE graphic and gold details on the fuel tank, the 2026 models are available in two new premium color schemes

• Available to order now and in stores by December 2025

For model year 2026, Triumph Motorcycles has introduced key updates to the Scrambler 1200 XE, responding to customer demand with a premium suspension upgrade and striking new color options.

Further reinforcing its high-performance credentials and off-road capability, the 1200 XE gains premium branded, fully adjustable 1.85 in (47mm) diameter Showa forks and twin Öhlins RSUs with twin springs in addition to its already impressive list of specification.

Featuring a prominent XE graphic and gold details on the fuel tank, the 2026 model is available in a premium color scheme of the adventure-ready Matte Khaki Green & Matte Crystal White. The stealthy Sapphire Black remains the standard option.

An uncompromising blend of rugged off-road capability, timeless Scrambler style and cuttingedge technology, the Scrambler 1200 XE sets the benchmark for adventure-ready modern classics.

Paul Stroud – Chief Commercial Officer, Triumph Motorcycles

“Our customers expect the Scrambler 1200 XE to deliver uncompromising performance, and the demand for the top-tier components that go along with this has never been higher. The combination of premium Showa and Öhlins suspension gives riders the control, comfort and confidence they need, on road or off the beaten track. For the XE, we’re delivering the very best, reinforcing the bike’s reputation as a machine built to go further, harder, and with absolute precision.

As well as demanding performance, Scrambler 1200 XE riders are looking for the rugged style and sophistication that made this model the perfect choice for 007 in No Time to Die. Our customers are looking for a motorcycle that reflects their own personal style, and the Scrambler 1200 XE delivers this with two new distinctive color schemes for 2026.”

Built for the Trail. Refined for the Road.

At the heart of the XE’s capability is its dedicated Scrambler chassis, engineered for confidence across all terrains. The long-travel cast aluminum swingarm and fully adjustable suspension deliver an impressive 9.84 inch (250 mm) of wheel travel. Up front, premium 1.85 inch (47mm) Showa USD forks offer full adjustability, while at the rear, twin Öhlins piggyback shocks, each fitted with dual springs provide unmatched control and comfort, whether riding solo or fully loaded.

Braking performance is equally uncompromising. Brembo Stylema M4.30 radial monobloc calipers paired with twin 320mm discs offer class-leading stopping power, complemented by a Nissin rear caliper and 255mm disc. Triumph’s Optimized Cornering ABS and Traction Control systems ensure maximum confidence through every turn, with the option to switch off electronic intervention entirely for advanced off-road riding.

Power with Personality

The Scrambler 1200 XE is powered by Triumph’s legendary 1200cc ‘High Power’ Bonneville twin, with a dedicated Scrambler tune.

With 89 HP (90 PS) peak power and a torque-rich delivery throughout the rev range, peaking at 81.1 lb-ft (110Nm) at just 4,250rpm, the engine offers exhilarating acceleration and tractable control across all conditions. The large 1.97-inch (50 mm) throttle body improves gas flow, while the brushed stainless steel high-level silencers deliver the unmistakable Scrambler soundtrack. A six-speed gearbox and torque-assist clutch ensure smooth, fatigue-free operation.

Technology That Elevates Every Ride

The XE features Triumph’s ride-by-wire system, enabling six riding modes: Road, Rain, Sport, Rider-configurable, Off-Road, and XE-exclusive Off-Road Pro. Each mode adjusts throttle response, ABS and traction control to suit terrain and rider preference. Off-Road Pro disables ABS and traction control completely, unlocking the XE’s full off-road potential.

A single-button cruise control system adds comfort on longer journeys, while a full-color TFT display offers two design themes, three layout options, and automatic contrast adjustment. Riders can even personalize the start-up screen with their name.

Backlit switchgear and a five-way joystick provide intuitive control, and the XE is pre-enabled for the MyTriumph connectivity system, allowing access to calls, music and turn-by-turn navigation via the TFT interface. A USB charging port under the seat keeps devices powered on the go.

Scrambler-Defining Style

The XE’s silhouette is unmistakable. From its commanding stance and 21-inch front wheel to the sculpted fuel tank and ribbed bench seat, every detail is pure Scrambler. Premium finishes include a brushed aluminum Monza filler cap, anodized swingarm, aluminum number board and sump guard, and brushed badges.

There are over 70 genuine Triumph accessories available, from high touring screens and leather panniers to off-road enhancements. Each accessory is designed alongside the bike for perfect fit, finish and function. Owners can personalize their Scrambler to match their riding style and ambitions, with the confidence of an unlimited factory warranty.

ON THE ROAD

With two-year unlimited mileage warranty and a class-leading 10,000-mile (16,000 km) service interval, the Scrambler 1200 XE is built for more time on the road and less time in the workshop, giving riders the freedom to enjoy every mile.

New Continental ContiSportAttack 5: Better Grip, More Stability

Continental’s new ContiSportAttack 5 expands the performance envelope of its predecessor, the ContiSportAttack 4, with more grip, better stability and quicker warmup. It is aimed at riders of supersport machines, riders who spend most of their time on back roads but do the occasional track day.

The new Continental ContiSportAttack 5 emphasizes quick warmup, to provide maximum performance without tire warmers or pressure adjustments. Photo courtesy Continental.

The improvements come from a refined compound formula and construction as well as a groove system designed to speed up the warmup time, to generate feel at maximum lean angle, and to provide maximum grip in the wet at the lean angles most riders use in those conditions.

“Every tread detail is there for a reason,” Rafael Kascha, Product Developer of Motorcycle Tires at Continental, said during the new tire introduction.

Micro-grooves at the edge of the tire help keep the tire in its optimal temperature range, with increased grooving at the mid-shoulder displacing more water at intermediate lean angles. Varying the steel belting of the tire – more belt at the center, less on the edges – creates a more solid feel when braking and initiating a turn, while providing more feel at greater lean angles.

The tire comes in a 120/70 front and 160/60, 180/55, 190/55 and 200/55 rears.

More, from a news release issued by Continental:

Continental motorcycle tires are redefining performance. The ContiSportAttack 5 is the latest generation of supersport tires for those who seek maximum driving dynamics without compromise. Developed on the racetrack; perfected for the road – the ContiSportAttack 5 delivers outstanding grip, superior cornering, precise steering response and lightning-fast warm-up. This latest evolution of the supersport tire will be available in the first quarter of 2026.

Supersport positioning: an optimal balance between sport and hypersport
The ContiSportAttack 5 is even sportier than its predecessor, the ContiSportAttack 4, and is designed as an 80/20 tire for the supersport segment. This makes it the ideal choice for riders who want to get the most out of their (super) sport and naked motorcycles – both on winding country roads and during occasional racetrack training sessions.

“The ContiSportAttack 5 represents years of intensive development work on a wide variety of roads and racetracks around the world. Our aspiration was to achieve improvements in all core characteristics without compromise”, explained Rafael Kascha, Product Developer of Motorcycle Tires at Continental:

Outstanding grip thanks to the BlackChili compound with a new formula, which ensures better adherence to the road and optimized abrasion patterns during racetrack training.
Superior cornering thanks to an innovative steel belt arrangement with MultiZoneBelt technology. Closer windings of the steel belt at the center of the tire provide greater stability when riding straight ahead, while wider windings on the tire shoulder guarantee more contact area and confidence when leaning into corners. At the transition from the center of the tire to the shoulder, the different winding spacing enables easy and agile steering. More precise steering response thanks to the new carcass construction, in which the stiffness zones of the tire vary in a targeted manner. Faster warm-up thanks to specially optimized tread zones that are tailored to the respective riding situation. Thanks to the TractionSkin surface, the ContiSportAttack 5 performs safely and quickly right from the start.

The ContiSportAttack 5 is the perfect choice for current supersport motorcycles such as the BMW S 1000 RR and Yamaha YZF-R9, as well as powerful naked motorcycles such as the BMW S 1000 R, Kawasaki Z 900, and KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE R EVO. The range of applications is 80 percent road, 20 percent racetrack – without tire pressure adjustment or tire warmers.

“Our target group is performers – riders who are technically skilled and progressive during their ride. For them, it’s all about sport riding at the highest level – and that’s exactly what the ContiSportAttack 5 offers them”, said Christoph Ettenhuber, Head of Business Field Motorcycle Tires at Continental.

The ContiSportAttack 5 combines racetrack performance with everyday usability. Designed for speeds of up to 320 km/h, depending on the tire size, the construction is suitable for road use without restrictions while the compound also performs well on challenging track days.

“We’ve developed a tire that can handle both sunday rides over mountain passes and racetrack training on closed courses – without compromising on performance,” emphasized Rafael Kascha, Product Developer of Motorcycle Tires at Continental.

The ContiSportAttack 5 will be introduced in the first quarter of 2026 with five key sizes for current supersport and naked motorcycle models:

120/70 ZR 17 M/C (58W) TL

160/60 ZR 17 M/C (69W) TL

180/55 ZR 17 M/C (73W) TL

190/55 ZR 17 M/C (75W) TL

200/55 ZR 17 M/C (78W) TL

Incorporating Racing Tire Technology to Deliver Superior Dry Grip Performance.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Bridgestone Corporation (Bridgestone) today announced that it will launch the premium sports motorcycle tire BATTLAX RACING STREET RS12 in January 2026 for North American markets. Under the concept of ‘From Circuit to Street,’ by incorporating race tire technology, BATTLAX RACING STREET RS12 delivers the highest level of dry grip performance in the road-legal tire lineup of BATTLAX.

Key Technologies Featured in the BATTLAX RACING STREET RS12

1. Compound

Equipped with a compound engineered from technologies advanced through racing tire development.

2. New Tread Pattern

Newly designed pattern with an optimized groove ratio delivers superior grip performance (1) through enhanced tire rigidity and an increased contact area during cornering (2).

3. New Structure

For the front tire, the HE-MS BELT structure, proven in the world’s top-level motorcycle races, has been adopted for the first time in a commercial BATTLAX tire. This flexible belt equalizes contact pressure to further enhance grip.

Incorporating technologies proven through continued success in motorcycle endurance races, BATTLAX RACING STREET RS12 delivers comprehensive improvements in circuit performance, with a particular emphasis on dry grip (3). Lap times are reduced significantly compared to the previous model, BATTLAX RACING STREET RS113. In addition, by optimizing the combination of its compound, tread pattern design and structure, the tire maintains high grip performance even after multiple laps3. As a result, it provides riders with peace of mind and enjoyment across a wide range of riding conditions—from sporty riding on dry roads to winding roads and circuit tracks.

Bridgestone is committed to supporting the development of a safe and enjoyable motorcycling culture, offering peace of mind by advancing a global premium niche strategy utilizing Dan-Totsu products (4) like its BATTLAX brand premium motorcycle tires. Through these efforts, the Company strives to achieve the corporate commitment of ‘Emotion: Committed to inspiring excitement and spreading joy to the world of mobility’ described in the ‘Bridgestone E8 Commitment’(5).

(4) ‘Dan-Totsu’ refers to Bridgestone’s direction to be the clear and absolute leader.

(5) The Bridgestone Group established its corporate commitment, the ‘Bridgestone E8 Commitment’, to help it realize its vision: ‘Toward 2050, Bridgestone continues to provide social value and customer value as a sustainable solutions company’. This commitment will serve as the Group’s axis to drive management while earning the trust of future generations. The ‘Bridgestone E8 Commitment’ consists of eight uniquely Bridgestone values starting with the letter ‘E’ (Energy, Ecology, Efficiency, Extension, Economy, Emotion, Ease, and Empowerment) that the Group will commit to creating through distinctly Bridgestone purposes and processes, together with employees, society, partners, and customers to help realize a sustainable society.

The new Continental ContiSportAttack 5 is aimed at the supersport segment, for road riders who do occasional track days. Photo courtesy Continental.
