New 2022 YZ250F:
Fresh off dominating the 2021 Supercross season, the new 2022 Yamaha YZ250F sees a handful of key updates to make the benchmark-setting motocrosser even better. Beginning with the rear wheel, a new 2.15-inch wide rear rim pairs with a premium 110-width Dunlop® Geomax MX33 tire to serve up a wider footprint, increased traction and better bump absorption under hard acceleration and cornering. In a first on a Yamaha off-road competition model, a new three-cross spoke pattern on the rear wheel further improves impact absorption and overall feel. The rear wheel hub has been reengineered to be thinner and lighter while still retaining strength. Together with a new lightweight rear sprocket design and new lightweight drive chain, unsprung weight and driveline inertia is reduced for more responsive handling.
The YZ250F’s class-leading suspension takes another step forward with revised suspension settings aimed at striking the perfect balance between the wider rear tire and lightened rear wheel assembly. That means increased stability on corner entry/exit and improved bump reaction, further enhancing the game-changing performance of the YZ250F’s advanced, fully adjustable KYB® suspension. Also new for 2022, an updated premium graphics scheme features aggressive Yamaha Blue and dark blue embedded graphics, both highlighting the YZ’s competitive intentions and providing excellent durability and scratch resistance. Blacked-out radiator louvers further add to the aggressive new look.
Updates add to the long list of race-ready features that make the YZ250F a consistent top pick in the ultra-competitive 250cc class. The advanced liquid-cooled four-stroke powerplant features a forward-positioned straight downdraft intake with symmetrical intake ports, high-spec piston, aggressive cam profiles and reversed cylinder head layout, providing broad, useable powerband and class-leading low-end and mid-range torque. Helping racers dial in the perfect power delivery for different track conditions, Yamaha’s industry-leading free-of-charge Power Tuner app puts the flexibility and precision tunability of the GYTR® Power Tuner into your smartphone. Make fueling and ignition timing changes instantly and upload them to the bike for ultimate track-side tuning. A convenient handlebar-mounted map switch then allows the rider to quickly select between two uploaded maps for immediate on-the-fly adjustments.
The YZ250F’s highly refined chassis is based on a lightweight aluminum bilateral beam frame with main spars, engine mounts and mounting position designed to centralize mass and provide an ideal balance between cornering feel and straight-line rigidity. Exceptional braking power and feel is achieved through the same high performance braking components fitted to its open-class YZ450F sibling. It all adds up to an extremely capable and well-rounded package that gives racers the edge right out of the gate.

New 2022 YZ125:
The new 2022 YZ125 represents an important evolution in Yamaha’s two-stroke lineage. As the first full model change to the iconic YZ125 in more than 15 years, Yamaha designers and engineers put considerable thought into developing a motorcycle that would be both dominant on the racetrack and user-friendly for developing riders looking to bridge the gap between recreation riding and competitive motocross. The result is a significantly better YZ125.
It starts with a new, more powerful liquid-cooled 125cc two-stroke engine. Every functional part of the 2022 YZ125 engine is new, including the cylinder body, cylinder head, piston, piston pin, connecting rod, crankcase and expansion chamber. It all adds up to increased power across the mid- to high-rpm range. Enhancing fueling and power delivery, a new high-precision Hitachi Astemo® Keihin PWK38S carburetor with throttle position sensor and 3D-map-controlled CDI unit provide clean, crisp throttle response and superior rideability. A new intake design with VForce4 carbon reed valve leads to a more efficient draw of air into the engine for an improved feeling of power in the high rpm range.
To match increased engine performance, an updated lightweight braking system features larger front pistons, a more rigid caliper, a redesigned 270mm front rotor with a 30% increase in pad contact area and higher friction pad material, all combining to provide exceptional braking power and feel. A redesigned rear rotor maintains the same braking power while dropping outer diameter from 245mm to 240mm, reducing unsprung weight without compromising performance. Taking the YZ125’s category-defining suspension and handling characteristics to a new level, front and rear suspension damping has been revised to further improve bump absorption and cornering performance. Best-in-class KYB® suspension includes an inverted front fork, now with new fork internals for more precise damping.
A new flatter seat and more narrow fuel tank design, along with smoothly integrated body panels and slimmer radiator shroud width all combine to enable greater freedom of movement forward and back, allowing the rider to easily shift body weight for increased control and confidence. Emphasizing the YZ125’s mission to win races, a bold, aggressive Yamaha Blue and dark blue colorway with premium embedded graphics ensure excellent durability and scratch resistance.

Along with the new bodywork, a sharp, new premium graphics scheme inspired by its YZ125 sibling highlights its distinctive race-bred YZ DNA. The redesigned seat and rear bodywork also enable an updated rear-positioned straight-through intake for an improved feeling of power in the low rpm range.
For demanding junior racers, the new YZ85 has been enhanced in several key chassis areas to optimize strength and rigidity, including revisions to the main frame, swingarm and rear wheel axle. The aluminum swingarm was redesigned to enhance balance between longitudinal and torsional rigidity for improved handling stability. A new removable rear subframe constructed from lightweight, high-strength aluminum reduces weight. The rear brake master cylinder now has a built-in sub-reservoir providing more linear brake response and increased control.
New for 2022, the YZ85 Large Wheel (LW) model takes the race-winning YZ85 formula and enhances off-road capability even more with the addition of a larger 19-inch front wheel and 16-inch rear wheel wrapped in high performance 70/100/19 front and 90/100/16 rear Dunlop® MX3S tires. A longer swingarm accommodates the larger rear wheel and increases handling stability. The YZ85LW is designed to be the ideal transition between the standard YZ85 and the full size YZ125, perfect for those advanced 85cc riders looking for a more “big-bike” feel.

Bennetts BSB back north of the border: Knockhill next and watch live on Quest
The Bennetts British Superbike Championship returns to Knockhill for the second round with a two-day event, showcased with live coverage on Quest free-to-air during the weekend (10-11 July).
It will have been 741 days since the series’ last visit to the Scottish circuit when the action gets underway on Saturday. The opening day will feature two BSB SUPERPICKS free practice sessions and SUPERPICKS Qualifying, plus BikeSocial race one.
Championship leader Jason O’Halloran is relishing the compact format, as the McAMS Yamaha rider bids to turn his Knockhill fortunes around. The ‘O’Show’ has previously endured a torrid time at the Fife circuit, the only track where he is yet to stand on the podium. That’s something he intends to change this weekend after his treble victory at the season opener.
Christian Iddon came tantalisingly close to the top step of the podium at Oulton Park, claiming a trio of second place finishes for the VisionTrack Ducati team, after he was robbed of victory twice on the final lap by O’Halloran. He’ll want to make up for that this weekend.
On the opposite side of the garage, reigning champion Josh Brookes heads to Scotland determined to make amends for the opening round. The Australian is seventh in the overall standings, and aiming to climb the order rapidly in his quest for back-to-back titles.
Peter Hickman and the FHO Racing BMW team celebrated a podium finish on their Bennetts BSB debut last time out, claiming the first top three finish for the new BMW M 1000 RR. The team will be hoping to carry that momentum to Knockhill, boosted too by the return of Xavi Forés, who scored a pole position and a podium finish on his first visit in 2019.
Tarran Mackenzie will be hoping for a Scottish homecoming celebration; the McAMS Yamaha rider was on the podium on his last visit in 2019 and sits just ahead of Tommy Bridewell in the standings ahead of this weekend’s three races.
Danny Buchan meanwhile is the only rider on the current Bennetts BSB grid to have won a race at Knockhill. Currently sixth in the standings for SYNETIQ BMW, he will be hoping that history can repeat itself.
FS-3 Kawasaki’s Superbike rookie Rory Skinner will also be excited for the return to Knockhill; hailing from nearby Perth. The reigning Quattro Group British Supersport champion will be aiming to break into the top ten for the first time at his home circuit.
Bennetts British Superbike Championship standings after Round 1:
1. Jason O’Halloran (McAMS Yamaha) 75
2. Christian Iddon (VisionTrack Ducati) 60
3. Peter Hickman (FHO Racing BMW) 40
4. Tarran Mackenzie (McAMS Yamaha) 34
5. Tommy Bridewell (Oxford Products Racing Ducati) 32
6. Danny Buchan (SYNETIQ BMW) 25
7. Josh Brookes (VisionTrack Ducati) 25
8. Lee Jackson (FS-3 Kawasaki) 25
This weekend’s coverage of the Knockhill round is live on free-to-air channel Quest. Fans can stream the live coverage free-of-charge via discovery+ with live uninterrupted ad-free coverage also available via the Eurosport app

Jason O’Halloran – McAMS Yamaha
Championship leader
“I’ve never stood on the podium at Knockhill. It’s the only track that we race at that I’ve never had a podium, so I need to change that – I feel like we’re in a good position to do it this weekend.
“Knockhill is really important for me. I’ve had bad experiences there in the past and although I’ve been racing here for a while, I’ve not actually done that much riding at Knockhill.
“It’s a track where I really needed to test and I did a huge amount of laps there pre-season so I’m really thankful for that. I think we were pretty fast at the test. There were quite a few guys on a similar lap time, so I expect it to be a really competitive weekend, but I think we’ll be in a strong place.
“It’s nice going to Knockhill. Especially racing on day one – I’ve never had to race on the first day of an event so I think that’ll be a new experience, but I also I feel like we’ll be ready for it.
“It’ll be interesting to see how it plays out. It’ll be busy, but I’m in good shape and so is the team. If I could win races at Knockhill that’d be absolutely amazing, but podiums for me would be equally as good!”

Arcimoto and Lightning Motorcycles Begin Development of World’s Fastest Electric Three-Wheel Tilting Motorcycle
Built on the platform of the Lightning LS 218 and outfitted with Arcimoto’s patented tilting trike technology, the new electric bike will look to set the record for fastest three-wheel motorcycle at Bonneville.
EUGENE, Ore.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Arcimoto, Inc.® (NASDAQ: FUV), makers of fun, affordable, and ultra-efficient electric vehicles for everyday drivers and fleets, today announced a collaboration with Lightning Motorcycles with the goal to develop the fastest tilting three-wheel motorcycle in the world—gas or electric—using its patented Tilting Motor Works TRiO tilting trike technology.
“From the moment I met Richard Hatfield and saw the Lightning for myself at Bonneville, I knew there was the potential to create an electric trike unlike anything in the history of motorcycles, ” said Bob Mighell, Arcimoto’s Chief Tilting Officer, who himself broke the land-speed record for 3-wheeled motorcycles at the 2013 Motorcycle Speed Trials held at Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah. “This will be the first time we outfit an electric bike with the TRiO kit, and it certainly won’t be the last, as we drive toward a sustainable future faster than ever before.”
The Lightning SuperBike set a record as the world’s fastest production motorcycle, electric or otherwise, with the SCTA official World Record of 215.960 mph and a best timed run of 218.637 mph at Bonneville during Speedweek in 2011. The record-setting run was powered entirely by solar energy at an estimated cost of only 8 cents.
“As the world’s leading manufacturer of high performance electric motorcycles, we are excited to bring our technology and know-how to the collaboration with Arcimoto for the three-wheel market. The convergence of our proprietary technology, the market adoption of EVs, and the widely recognized environmental benefits of clean energy propulsion make this an excellent and exciting time to bring these vehicles to the mass market,” said Richard Hatfield, Founder and CEO of Lightning Motorcycles. “Our vision is to see Lightning’s electric motorcycles provide performance-oriented and environmentally conscious transportation, as well as adrenaline inducing fun, for both new and experienced riders all over the world. This collaboration amplifies our vision. It’s an honor to build the first electric bike outfitted with the TRiO alongside ‘Bonneville Bob Mighell,’ who has proven throughout his career that trikes can, and should, fly.”
Arcimoto’s Tilting Motor Works TRiO is the leading tilting three-wheel conversion kit for touring motorcycles. TRiO allows the rider to lean naturally, maintaining performance and the thrill of the ride while increasing safety, stability, and confidence. TRiO kits can be augmented with the TiltLock leveling system, allowing the bike to stand up by itself while stopped at lights or in traffic.
“This collaboration is something that could only happen between two legendary speed demons of Bonneville,” said Mark Frohnmayer, Arcimoto Founder and CEO. “While Plaid-level performance has never been a part of the Arcimoto narrative, proving our tilting trike technology beyond ludicrous speed will give us, and our customers, added comfort that our future micromobility solutions are stable under the most demanding conditions. Further this first adaptation of the TRiO for an electric motorcycle is in full alignment with Arcimoto’s mission to catalyze sustainable, emissions-free mobility.”
The prototype collaboration trike is anticipated to be unveiled at the “FUV and Friends Summer Showcase” to take place at the Portland International Raceway on July 26. To request a ticket, send an email to [email protected]. Pricing and availability of the TRiO Kit for the Lightning LS 218 will be announced at a later date.

The Italian Job: Ducati Now An Official Series Partner Of MotoAmerica
Ducati North America Joins In As A Sponsor For Both The MotoAmerica Series And The GEICO Motorcycle Superbike Speedfest At Monterey, July 9-11
IRVINE, CA – MotoAmerica, North America’s premier motorcycle road racing series, is pleased to announce that Ducati North America has come on board as an official series partner as well as an official manufacturer of the GEICO Motorcycle Superbike Speedfest at Monterey – round five of the 2021 MotoAmerica Series, July 9-11, at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.

There is also a special Ducati Ticket Package for Laguna that includes a three-day general admission ticket, preferred parking, participation in the parade lap and track walk, and a Ducati branded gift.
“Having Ducati back in the series as an official partner after 15 years being away from the series is a big deal for MotoAmerica,” said MotoAmerica President Wayne Rainey. “Ducati has been measuring what we are doing both on and off the track and their involvement shows that they like what they see and are ready to act on it. WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca Partners With Pacific Motorcycle Training
PMT offers riders a chance to improve with the Learning Odyssey program
MONTEREY, Calif. – West Coast Bike Week isn’t just about the professional motorcycle racers on the world-famous track at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca – it’s also a chance for riders of all skill levels to improve their two-wheeled proficiency during the Learning Odyssey program, operated by Pacific Motorcycle Training (PMT).
As part of the California Motorcyclist Safety Program, the PMT team will be set up at the paved lakebed adjacent to the track July 13-15 to instruct riders and help them progress their talents.
“Motorcycle safety is important for riders of all levels, and we’re pleased to provide a secure spot for them to learn and improve their skills,” said John Narigi, president and general manager of WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. “If this partnership with Pacific Motorcycle Training can help keep our roads safer, it’s a win for everybody in the community.”
PMT offers beginning, intermediate and advanced motorcycle riding courses. The beginning course (July 13-14) is where students can learn the basics and gain confidence to operate a motorcycle safely. The course is CMSP-approved, which means students who take and pass the course can waive the DMV riding skill test. Motorcycles and helmets are provided during basic courses.
The intermediate (July 14) and advanced (July 15) riding clinics were developed by Total Control Training. These courses include both classroom and on-cycle instruction and are based on the most current research in rider safety. PMT teaches the very latest techniques in safety, accident prevention, cornering, and how to use a clutch, as well as proficient braking. Although designed primarily as a safety course, the course is also challenging and fun.
The PMT team is thrilled to be partnering with WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. “We are offering a unique opportunity for new and experienced riders to upgrade their skills and enjoy the greatest couple weeks in motorcycle culture in what I believe will be motorcycle Nirvana this summer,” stated PMT CEO Chris Meyers.
Pacific Motorcycle Training is locally owned and operated. Its two owners – Craig Arnold and Chris Meyers – are life-long motorcycle enthusiasts and are both certified instructors with more than 20 years of combined teaching experience. Baz Heads the Ducati Charge as Elias Joins the Fray
Sunnyvale, Calif., July 7, 2021 – North America has some famous racing venues but very few hold the international stature of WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.
The rolling hills just out of Monterey have played host to some of the most famous riders ever to grace the sport, and this weekend Ducati hopes to add its name to the list of Laguna winners when Frenchman Loris Baz (Warhorse HSBK Racing Ducati New York) and Spaniard Toni Elias (Panera Bread Ducati) front the green light for round six of the 2021 MotoAmerica Superbike Championship.
MotoAmerica rookie, Baz, comes into the only Californian round of the championship with prior experience of the track, having raced here during his years in the WorldSBK Championship. Sitting sixth in the points, Baz knows a good result here can hoist him to within touching distance of the championship top three.
The Laguna Seca round will see Ducati welcome former MotoAmerica [Superbike Champion] and 2010 Moto2 World Champion Toni Elias back into the family. The storied Spaniard rode for the Alice Ducati squad during the 2008 MotoGP season, and after spending the first half of the 2021 MotoAmerica season on the sidelines after an American career spent at Suzuki, Elias is ready like a boxer strapping the gloves on once again.
Elias replaces Kyle Wyman at Laguna Seca on the Panera Bread Ducati, who is still recovering from a broken arm suffered at Road Atlanta.
Loris Baz (Warhorse HSBK Racing Ducati New York – Ducati #76)
“It’s good to go to famous Laguna, finally a track I know,” Baz said. “We also have some data on the bike, and my years in the world championship mean I have a bit of a reference for the track. It’s going to be exciting to race here. It’s always a place I love to go. It’s one of the best tracks in the world—it’s old school, that’s why I like it so much.
“We get stronger and stronger each time we get on the bike, so I think it’s going to be a good weekend for us. I’m feeling ready, healthy, and I can’t wait to get after it.”
Toni Elias (Panera Bread Ducati – Ducati #24)
“I’m very excited to feel the energy of racing again,” Elias said. “It’s been a long time, almost one year without racing. No matter the result, just to be there and riding this Ducati at Laguna will be a great feeling. It will be nice to feel a real Superbike again—the power, suspension, tires—these are the things you miss when you stop.
“I’ve been very active on bikes since my last race, coaching the kids and adults, surfing, and I have the experience needed to ride this bike.
“This Ducati is something new for me, but I remember the Ducati DNA of the past (in MotoGP). I have been talking with Kyle to try some ideas for this weekend but also to help him in the future. In the end, this is a very different bike compared to my MotoGP machine of 2008 but it still has that Ducati DNA. That doesn’t change.
“I’m very happy to be here and grateful to Kyle for giving me the chance to ride the bike.”
Round six of the 2021 MotoAmerica Superbike Championship will be held at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca on July 9-11, 2021.
FRENCH SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP: BATTLE IN THE RAIN AT MAGNY-COURS
The 5th stage of the Championship of France Superbike took place this weekend on the Nevers Magny-Cours in front of the President of the FFM, Sebastien Poirier. Organized by the Moto Club Nevers et de la Nièvre under the aegis of the FFM, the competition was the subject of many surprises and revelations in changing weather conditions this Sunday. Find out which riders shone in each of the 1000cc youth categories of the Objectif Grand Prix Pré-Moto3.
SUPERBIKE
COURSE 1: DEBISE AND GINES, FACE TO FACE!
From the first corner, it was a real thunderclap that rang out in the premier class: poleman Gregory LEBLANC (Ducati TWR – Pirelli) went downhill following contact with Freddy FORAY (Honda – Michelin)!
The leading position is then to the credit of Valentin DEBISE (Kawasaki Twist Ring Racing – Dunlop). However, in the 3rd lap, it was Mathieu GINES (Yamaha Tech Solutions – Michelin) who took the lead. Both drivers are neck and neck while Kenny Foray (BMW Tecmas – Michelin) tries to stay in touch from the 3rd row early in the race before falling behind.
Confident since his victory on the Pau Arnos circuit, GINES has held the top in DEBISE during the entire race. However, the Albigensian driver regains the advantage on the penultimate lap! Despite a good resistance from GINES, it is indeed DEBISE who confirms on the finish line with only a tenth in advance.
Kenny FORAY, meanwhile, manages his end of the race and completes the top 3.
In battle for the foot of the podium, it is a group of 6 pilots who put on the show. Within the cast, we find Freddy FORAY, Axel MAURIN (Yamaha CMS – Michelin), Matthieu LUSSIANA (Yamaha – Dunlop), Morgan BERCHET (Yamaha – Dunlop) David MUSCAT (Ducati – Michelin) and the Challenger pilot Guillaume ANTIGA (Honda – Michelin).
After numerous changes in the hierarchy that makes up the group, BERCHET slightly off the end of the race and ranks 4th . Freddy FORAY finished 5th just ahead of the Challenger Guillaume ANTIGA who at the same time won the victory in his category. MUSCAT, MAURIN and LUSSIANA finished in 7th , 8th and 9th places.
Challenger, behind William ANTIGA the paddock find the leader of the youth category, Martin RENAUDIN (Yamaha Motorcycles & GPAddict – Pirelli) that ensures the 10th place overall. Valentin SUCHET (Suzuki LMS – Pirelli) completed the podium and ranks 12th overall.
RACE 2: KENNY FORAY AT EASE IN THE WET
It is on a “wet” track that the pilots of the premier category set off for the second Sunday race. Comfortable in these conditions and in good shape since the start of the weekend, Mathieu GINES and Kenny FORAY immediately widened the gap over the other competitors.
In the 5th round, Kenny Foray got the better of Mathieu GINES left in its wake. The reigning French Champion tries to stay in touch but the driver of BMW n ° 78 is too fast! FORAY continues its momentum and finishes king with 1,667 seconds ahead of GINES.
In 3rd place early in the race, Freddy Foray fall in the 4th round and then leaves the 3rd position in the pilot Challenger William ANTIGA trying to maintain a narrow lead on elite pilot Axel Maurin and Valentin Debise. However, DEBISE finds its marks over the laps and goes back to 3rd place which it will not leave until the checkered flag.
ANTIGA great performance, the Challenger driver finishes first in its class and 4th in the scratch! Despite a small mistake which made him lose precious seconds on his final lap, David MUSCAT ranks 5th after returning to Axel Maurin who fall into the Water Tower and turn left immediately to finish 6th .
The paddock also notes the good result of the local stage, Maxime BONNOT (BMW Tecmas – Michelin) ranks 7th . Challenger Martin RENAUDIN, meanwhile, finished 8th at just scratch after resisting another Challenger Valentin SUCHET.
The latter therefore complete the podium in the youth category.
In the FSBK-FE regulations, the starting grid of race 2 is determined on the basis of the best times in race 1. Without reference during the morning race following his fall in the first turn, Gregory LEBLANC is forced to start from last place on the starting grid and still managed to finish 11th in the scratch!
In the provisional, DEBISE is in the lead with 240 points ahead of GINES (200 points) and FORAY (127 points).
As a challenger, RENAUDIN is in the lead with 230 points ahead of ANTIGA (223 points). AGOGUE and SUCHET are tied for the moment with 131 points.
SUPERSPORT 600
RACE 1: DEBISE, HAPPY IN THE RAIN
True to form, Valentin DEBISE (Kawasaki – Michelin) took the lead from the start. He takes on his wheel the Challenger Ludovic CAUCHI (Yamaha – Pirelli) and the SSP600 rider Enzo DE LA VEGA (Yamaha – Pirelli). In the 2nd lap, CAUCHI, efficient and full of passion, relegates DEBISE to second place! A notch below, DE LA VEGA lost ground and saw his opponents move away.
In pursuit of the latter, the Challenger Matthew GREGORIO (Yamaha – Pirelli), and driver Yvan SSP600 LAETZIG (Yamaha – Pirelli) seem to be able to apply for the 3rd spot …
However, the onset of rain caused the fall of 3 pilots and inevitably, the issue of a red flag by the Race Direction. The race was then stopped after 5 laps before setting off again a few minutes later with all the pilots wearing wet tires.
The race then resumes for 7 laps with a fully revived DEBISE! The Albigensian adopts a pace that it is the only one to print and keeps the lead from start to finish to win during the 2nd half of the race. Less efficient in the rain, CAUCHI, yet 2nd in the first lap, came down in the standings over the loops and finished 6th . Conversely, Dylan MILLE (Yamaha – Pirelli), at ease on the wet track of Nevers Magny-Cours, finished 2nd . Enzo DE LA VEGA resisted Yvan LAETZIG and completed the top 3 ahead of the Alsatian driver.
Behind Ludovic CAUCHI Challenger Charles CORTOT (Yamaha – Dunlop) and Matthew GREGORIO respectively ranked 2nd and 3rd category of young people.
Combined with the two parts of the race, it is ultimately DEBISE that wins. This victory, synonymous with first place in the Championship at mid-season, at the same time gave him a Wildcard in GMT 94 with the support of the FFM and Yamaha France. The Albigensian rider therefore makes an appointment for the World Superbike event which will take place on the Nevers Magny-Cours Circuit from September 3 to 5.
On the 2nd and 3rd step of the podium, the paddock finds MILLE and DE LA VEGA.
In Challenger, CAUCHI is finally not classified because he returned to the pits before the red flag came out during the first part of the race. It is therefore Matthieu GREGORIO who wins in front of Charles CORTOT and Vincent FALCONE (Yamaha – Pirelli).
RACE 2: DEBISE, TOO FAST FOR YOUTH
Once again above the rest, Valentin DEBISE does not go into detail during the afternoon. Under a threatening sky, he seems to be impatient to finish and takes off alone in the lead on the first lap at a breakneck pace.
On the other hand, it’s tighter in the second row! The Challengers pilots Matthieu GREGORIO and Ludovic CAUCHI are fighting for the rest of the podium. The hierarchy is reversed in mid-race between the two men while SSP600 Hugo CLERE drivers (Yamaha – Pirelli) and Enzo DE LA VEGA are pushing for the 4th and 5th positions.
With 4 laps from the checkered flag, GREGORIO recovers 2nd place but unfortunately, one lap later, the onset of rain leads to the issue of a red flag by the Race Direction. The ranking freezes in the previous round. DEBISE, who had been in the lead from the start, once again shines at Magny-Cours. CAUCHI therefore retains 2nd place ahead of GREGORIO. The ranking does not move to CLERE and DE LA VEGA who finish 4th and 5th .
In Challenger, CAUCHI wins ahead of GREGORIO. Kilian AEBI (Suzuki – Dunlop), who occupied the 6th place overall before the exit of the red flag, finishes on the final podium of the young drivers.
In the provisional, DEBISE is in the lead with 252 points ahead of CAUCHI (190 points) and BERCOT (115 points).
In Challenger, CAUCHI is in the lead with 243 points ahead of GREGORIO (156 points) and BERCOT (155 points).

Developed from Yamaha’s flagship YZ450F motocross model, the YZ450FX includes a host of added features and unique settings designed with the goal of creating the ultimate XC racer. It all starts with the renowned 450cc, liquid-cooled, Yamaha four-stroke engine. The ultra-compact powerplant features a distinct rearward-slanted cylinder design—complete with rear exhaust and forward-mounted down-draft intake system. The cylinder head design works with the frame geometry to centralize mass and optimize weight distribution. Internally, the engine features a straight intake tract, aggressive cam profiles, a high-compression “box bridge” piston design with DLC-coated piston pin, all contributing to its fun, torquey character and broad, usable powerband. The YZ450FX also features Yamaha’s industry-leading and free-of-charge Power Tuner app, allowing cross country racers to make fueling and ignition timing changes instantly and upload them to the bike straight from their smartphone for the ultimate track-side tuning. Then, a handlebar-mounted map switch allows riders to quickly select between two preloaded engine maps for on-the-fly adjustments to changing riding conditions.
The latest evolution of Yamaha’s lightweight aluminum bilateral beam frame features precisely tuned flex characteristics that give riders the ultimate combination of cornering performance, traction feel and bump stability. Fully adjustable KYB® coil spring-type fork with speed sensitive damping and linkage-type KYB® rear shock provide best-in-class suspension performance, specifically tuned for optimum cross country performance. Bringing things to a stop, the YZ450FX’s rigid front caliper and compact rear caliper work with aggressive pad compounds and lightweight rotors to provide exceptional braking power and controllability, dissipate heat more efficiently in racing conditions and reduce unsprung weight.
To further showcase the YZ450FX’s cross country edge, convenient features like push-button electric start, fuel level warning indicator, composite engine guard, rubber-mounted handlebar clamps, 18-inch rear wheel, sealed O-ring chain and a folding aluminum kickstand all come standard.
The new 2022 Y450FX will be available from dealers this September in next-generation Team Yamaha Blue for $9,899 MSRP.

New 2022 YZ85 & YZ85LW:
As an important entry into the world of competitive motocross, the YZ85 has long been the mini race bike of choice for future champions. Light, nimble and fun with a high performance two‑stroke engine and top shelf suspension, it serves up big-bike spec in a small bike package. Along with its proven liquid-cooled YPVS-equipped 85cc powerplant, fully adjustable suspension and large diameter brakes, the new 2022 YZ85 boasts numerous enhancements to expand its overall performance.
Rider ergonomics have been improved by way of a new, more narrow tank design, flatter seat, new side covers and slimmer, symmetrically sized radiator shrouds. This enables greater freedom of movement for smooth shifting of body weight and better machine control.

For the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca round, Ducati will offer an exclusive Ducati owners display and activation inside the paddock.
Ducati has a loyal fan base, and those fans are very passionate about racing and about MotoAmerica. We’re looking forward to an already great season getting better as the fight for the championships starts to heat up and we’re thrilled to have Ducati and its fans with us.”
“Ducati’s holds a rich racing history and our love for competition is known throughout the world,” said Jason Chinnock, Chief Executive Officer of Ducati North America. “It’s been rewarding to see our racing and fan presence growing at the American circuits and we feel it’s engrained in our DNA to support motorcycle road racing here in the United States. By partnering with MotoAmerica – particularly in our backyard at Laguna Seca – we hope to continue the momentum sport motorcycle racing is seeing in stateside, as well as champion the loyalty of our Ducatisti with exclusive experiences at this important race.”

Compliance status
We firmly believe that the internet should be available and accessible to anyone, and are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience,
regardless of circumstance and ability.
To fulfill this, we aim to adhere as strictly as possible to the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1) at the AA level.
These guidelines explain how to make web content accessible to people with a wide array of disabilities. Complying with those guidelines helps us ensure that the website is accessible
to all people: blind people, people with motor impairments, visual impairment, cognitive disabilities, and more.
This website utilizes various technologies that are meant to make it as accessible as possible at all times. We utilize an accessibility interface that allows persons with specific
disabilities to adjust the website’s UI (user interface) and design it to their personal needs.
Additionally, the website utilizes an AI-based application that runs in the background and optimizes its accessibility level constantly. This application remediates the website’s HTML,
adapts Its functionality and behavior for screen-readers used by the blind users, and for keyboard functions used by individuals with motor impairments.
If you’ve found a malfunction or have ideas for improvement, we’ll be happy to hear from you. You can reach out to the website’s operators by using the following email
Screen-reader and keyboard navigation
Our website implements the ARIA attributes (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) technique, alongside various different behavioral changes, to ensure blind users visiting with
screen-readers are able to read, comprehend, and enjoy the website’s functions. As soon as a user with a screen-reader enters your site, they immediately receive
a prompt to enter the Screen-Reader Profile so they can browse and operate your site effectively. Here’s how our website covers some of the most important screen-reader requirements,
alongside console screenshots of code examples:
Screen-reader optimization: we run a background process that learns the website’s components from top to bottom, to ensure ongoing compliance even when updating the website.
In this process, we provide screen-readers with meaningful data using the ARIA set of attributes. For example, we provide accurate form labels;
descriptions for actionable icons (social media icons, search icons, cart icons, etc.); validation guidance for form inputs; element roles such as buttons, menus, modal dialogues (popups),
and others. Additionally, the background process scans all the website’s images and provides an accurate and meaningful image-object-recognition-based description as an ALT (alternate text) tag
for images that are not described. It will also extract texts that are embedded within the image, using an OCR (optical character recognition) technology.
To turn on screen-reader adjustments at any time, users need only to press the Alt+1 keyboard combination. Screen-reader users also get automatic announcements to turn the Screen-reader mode on
as soon as they enter the website.
These adjustments are compatible with all popular screen readers, including JAWS and NVDA.
Keyboard navigation optimization: The background process also adjusts the website’s HTML, and adds various behaviors using JavaScript code to make the website operable by the keyboard. This includes the ability to navigate the website using the Tab and Shift+Tab keys, operate dropdowns with the arrow keys, close them with Esc, trigger buttons and links using the Enter key, navigate between radio and checkbox elements using the arrow keys, and fill them in with the Spacebar or Enter key.Additionally, keyboard users will find quick-navigation and content-skip menus, available at any time by clicking Alt+1, or as the first elements of the site while navigating with the keyboard. The background process also handles triggered popups by moving the keyboard focus towards them as soon as they appear, and not allow the focus drift outside it.
Users can also use shortcuts such as “M” (menus), “H” (headings), “F” (forms), “B” (buttons), and “G” (graphics) to jump to specific elements.
Disability profiles supported in our website
Epilepsy Safe Mode: this profile enables people with epilepsy to use the website safely by eliminating the risk of seizures that result from flashing or blinking animations and risky color combinations.
Visually Impaired Mode: this mode adjusts the website for the convenience of users with visual impairments such as Degrading Eyesight, Tunnel Vision, Cataract, Glaucoma, and others.
Cognitive Disability Mode: this mode provides different assistive options to help users with cognitive impairments such as Dyslexia, Autism, CVA, and others, to focus on the essential elements of the website more easily.
ADHD Friendly Mode: this mode helps users with ADHD and Neurodevelopmental disorders to read, browse, and focus on the main website elements more easily while significantly reducing distractions.
Blindness Mode: this mode configures the website to be compatible with screen-readers such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack. A screen-reader is software for blind users that is installed on a computer and smartphone, and websites must be compatible with it.
Keyboard Navigation Profile (Motor-Impaired): this profile enables motor-impaired persons to operate the website using the keyboard Tab, Shift+Tab, and the Enter keys. Users can also use shortcuts such as “M” (menus), “H” (headings), “F” (forms), “B” (buttons), and “G” (graphics) to jump to specific elements.
Additional UI, design, and readability adjustments
Font adjustments – users, can increase and decrease its size, change its family (type), adjust the spacing, alignment, line height, and more.
Color adjustments – users can select various color contrast profiles such as light, dark, inverted, and monochrome. Additionally, users can swap color schemes of titles, texts, and backgrounds, with over seven different coloring options.
Animations – person with epilepsy can stop all running animations with the click of a button. Animations controlled by the interface include videos, GIFs, and CSS flashing transitions.
Content highlighting – users can choose to emphasize important elements such as links and titles. They can also choose to highlight focused or hovered elements only.
Audio muting – users with hearing devices may experience headaches or other issues due to automatic audio playing. This option lets users mute the entire website instantly.
Cognitive disorders – we utilize a search engine that is linked to Wikipedia and Wiktionary, allowing people with cognitive disorders to decipher meanings of phrases, initials, slang, and others.
Additional functions – we provide users the option to change cursor color and size, use a printing mode, enable a virtual keyboard, and many other functions.
Browser and assistive technology compatibility
We aim to support the widest array of browsers and assistive technologies as possible, so our users can choose the best fitting tools for them, with as few limitations as possible. Therefore, we have worked very hard to be able to support all major systems that comprise over 95% of the user market share including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Opera and Microsoft Edge, JAWS and NVDA (screen readers).
Notes, comments, and feedback
Despite our very best efforts to allow anybody to adjust the website to their needs. There may still be pages or sections that are not fully accessible, are in the process of becoming accessible, or are lacking an adequate technological solution to make them accessible. Still, we are continually improving our accessibility, adding, updating and improving its options and features, and developing and adopting new technologies. All this is meant to reach the optimal level of accessibility, following technological advancements. For any assistance, please reach out to
