Alcaniz, Spain — American motorcycle racing standout Julian “Juju” Correa continues to rewrite the history books, securing a hard-fought 10th-place finish this past weekend at MotorLand Aragon. Competing in Round 6 of the inaugural 2026 FIM Sportbike World Championship (WorldSPB), the 17-year-old from Jupiter, Florida, demonstrated blistering pace and elite racecraft against the world’s best on the highly technical Spanish circuit.
Riding the #40 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R for Pons Motorsport Italika Racing, Correa entered the weekend riding a wave of momentum after becoming the first American to score points in the newly formed WorldSPB class two weeks prior at Autodrom Most.

• The Challenge: High track temperatures and fierce midfield battles tested the entire grid, demanding precise tire management and flawless execution.
• The Breakthrough: After making vital setup adjustments with his Pons Motorsport crew, Correa mounted a brilliant charge in Sunday’s Race 2.
• The Result: Navigating a deeply talented pack, Correa crossed the finish line in 10th place (22’09.924), o_icially securing his first career top-10 finish on the global WorldSPB stage.
This performance further cements Correa’s reputation as a pioneer for U.S. racing. As the sole American rider in the 2026 WorldSPB grid, his smooth transition from the British Talent Cup to the World Championship paddock has been a resounding success.
“We’ve been working tirelessly to find the perfect feeling with the bike, and everything started to click this weekend in Aragon,” said Julian. “To back up our first points in the Czech Republic with a top-10 finish in Spain shows the progress we are making. With the European leg of the championship in full swing, Correa’s consistent improvement and relentless grit mark him as a rising global contender. He and the team now return to the workshop to analyze the data from Aragon as they prepare for the next round of the 2026 WorldSPB season which is the Misano World Circuit June 12 – 14.
