Monster Energy Attack Performance Yamaha’s Jake Gagne captured pole position for the MotoAmerica HONOS Superbike races this weekend at Ridge Motorsports Park, in Shelton, Washington.

Gagne’s 1:40.667 on his YZF-R1 around the challenging 2.47-mile, 19-turn road course was the fastest legal lap time.

Gagne’s teammate and the current Championship point leader Cameron Beaubier did a 1:39.753, but at the conclusion of that lap Beaubier was unable to navigate the Turn One chicane. By rule, Beaubier’s 1:39.753 and the following lap’s time were disallowed, and he ended up second-fastest with a 1:40.902 he did on a race-compound tire.

M4 ECSTAR Suzuki’s Bobby Fong earned the third and final spot on the front row with a time of 1:41.199 on his GSX-R1000.
