Cycle Gear to title sponsor KWR team for MotoAmerica Championship at Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca

TUCSON, Ariz. (June 19) — Kyle Wyman Racing has announced a partnership with Cycle Gear, a national network of motorcycle gear and accessories retail stores, as title sponsor for the MotoAmerica Championship at Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca this coming weekend. Kyle Wyman will ride the #33 Cycle Gear/KWR Yamaha YZF-R1 Superbike, while Bryce Prince competes on his #74 Cycle Gear/KWR Yamaha YZF-R6 in the Supersport category.

Cycle Gear is the official retailer of MotoAmerica, and features the “Mega Booth” at race events, where race fans can purchase products offered in retail stores at the track, including those offered by KWR’s official safety partner, Dainese. This new one-race partnership with KWR underscores the commitment of Cycle Gear to motorcycle road racing in the United States, and aligns with the mission of the MotoAmerica championship.

“Bringing such a passionate company like Cycle Gear into KWR as a partner is a dream come true,” Wyman said. “I have had a relationship with the company ever since they started backing MotoAmerica, and we have had a lot of fun creating content for the ‘Just Round The Corner’ campaign. I already feel like a part of the Cycle Gear family, so this partnership and their belief in what I am doing with KWR as a team owner and rider means a great deal to me.”

Their re-entry as a sponsor in American road racing is a big deal for Cycle Gear, who has sponsored professional race teams in the past. They have found their ideal partner in Wyman, who is not only a rider and team manager, but takes time to educate new and experienced riders through his teaching efforts and speaking engagements, made possible by the Yamaha Champions Riding School.

“We are proud to be sponsoring Kyle Wyman and his KWR team for our home race at Laguna Seca,” said Andy Johnson, Sr. Director of Business Development at Cycle Gear. “We aim to partner with those who exemplify our culture at Cycle Gear, and Kyle is the ultimate example of somebody who is an ambassador for motorcycling as a whole and works actively to grow the sport. We look forward to being a part of the continued growth and success of KWR. “

Keep an eye on the Cycle Gear/KWR team as they look to make the Corkscrew at Laguna Seca “Their Corner” at this weekend’s races. Kyle Wyman hits the track this Friday at 1:20pm PST for Superbike Qualifying Practice Session 1. Follow along at motoamericatiming.com.
