On-track activities at the MotoAmerica Championship at Road America are currently on hold while an extensive track cleanup is underway.

During the Mission King Of The Baggers warmup, the first on-track session of the day, Michael Barnes’ Daytona Harley-Davidson/Hoban Bros. Racing Road Glide and Kyle Wyman’s Screamin’ Eagle Harley-Davidson Road Glide both suffered mechanical problems and both put oil down at different spots around the four-mile-long track, according to MotoAmerica.

And it’s been raining, which means the oil has spread more than it normally would have spread and is more difficult to cleanup.

The cleanup has been going on since 9:30 a.m. local time.

The last word from MotoAmerica is that nothing will go on track until at least 11:00 a.m. local time.

Stay tuned.
