American rider Kensei Matsudaira scored three podium finishes during Rounds 7-8-9 of the 2026 Moto4 Latin Cup at San Juan Villicum, qualifying P2 and finishing P3 P3 in races 1 & 2, and P2 in race 3.
Kensei Matsudaira: “Another weekend in the books. The races today were better with me being in the front group fighting for the win. In the end both races came down to strategy and I definitely learned and will continue to push. Thank you to all the fans and supporters.”

Palestinian-American Mahdi Salem qualified P4 and finished 4th in Race 1. After a timing issue forced him to start Race 2 from P7, Salem recovered to finish P4, followed by P5 in Race 3. He remains third in the championship with two rounds remaining.

Mahdi Salem: “Not the easiest weekend, but still a lot of positives to take from it. Friday was a decent day getting to know the track and finding some pace. Saturday we qualified P4 and finished P4 in Race 1. Sunday was a bit more challenging. Some technical issues with the live timing so we had to start P7, but we kept pushing. Finished P4 in Race 2 and P5 in Race 3. Definitely not the weekend we were hoping for, but we learned a lot. P3 in the championship with 2 rounds to go. We’ll come back stronger for the next one”
