Jordan Szoke and Waznie Racing teams with Honda 12 time Canadian National Champion Jordan Szoke found himself without a ride late in the season and was left scrambling to cinch up plans for 2010 on a new manufacturer. “I am defending my #1 plates in 2010 and have been working really hard with a new series of sponsors, and throwing my life savings, at this program to make that happen. I had to make the investment in myself, and I’m hoping things will get better next year.” Szoke will be defending his #1 titles riding a CBR1000 in the Superbike Class and a CBR600 in the Sportbike class for 2010. Jordan has won the Superbike championships in 1998, 2002 and most recently in 2006-2007-2008-2009. While enjoying a quadruple crown in Superbike, he also matched it with four consecutive Sportbike titles, and is the winningest rider in Canadian history. Szoke has worked extensively with Honda in the past. In 1999 while defending his Superbike Title, he finished second. In 2000 Szoke won the most races in the Superbike Championship and was favored to win the title. Due to a disappointing fall, he finished second. Szoke returned to Honda in 2004 and 2005 and finished runner up in the Superbike Championships. “When I rode for Honda in 04-05 I struggled a bit with the chassis, although our Honda’s were always extremely reliable. What I loved the most about our bikes were our motors, being built by Scott Miller of Fast Company.” Waznie Racing Honda teams up again with Fast Company as Jordan has hired Miller for the 2010 season. “We were in the shop the other day tearing the street parts off, and after looking at these new CBR’s I’m really excited to ride them, they have come a really long way in just a few short years.” The winning combination of Szoke, Honda, and Fast Company make for an exciting 2010 Season. Joining the team will be Jordan’s wife Amy Szoke. She will be astride a CBR600RR, competing in Amateur 600 for the entire 2010 season. “I’m really excited to ride the new bike, and take in the entire national series with my husband. It’s something we love to do together and I’m really pumped to spend another season with Jordan at the track. I got a small taste riding the CBR when I took a school at Miller Motorsports Park, and I really liked it!” Amy competed in various club and national events across Canada and the US since she started racing in 2006. “In a time of struggle for companies around the world, it is great to see our new and returning lineup of sponsors committed to the future and support of the sport. I know we will continue on our winning ways together for this season and more to come. Change is good, this is a refreshing and very exciting challenge, I know I’m up for it.” exclaims Szoke. Jordan Szoke is still actively searching for a title sponsor to be correlated with the team in the 2010 season.
