Two more comments on the mandatory organ donation proposed for New Mexico, one from Roadracingworld.com’s own Melissa Berkoff and another from reader Steve Armstrong:

A question comes to mind when reading the e-mail from Howard Halterman about the proposed New Mexico donorcycle bill: If he is truly a believer in natural selection, wouldn’t that mean that he believes that people with failing organs should die, especially in cases where the organ is failing due to something like a congenital defect?

Am I the only one that questions what the good senator does for a real job? Hmmmm. Aha, an emergency room physician. Wasn’t that where the term “murdercycles” originated? Oh, and by the way, wearing a helmet is not mandatory in New Mexico. So they are going to take organs from people that did nothing illegal? Don’t think so! That’s when the real lawsuits will begin.
