Magneti Marelli Chosen As Official ECU Supplier To Moto2 World Championship Beginning In 2019

Decision of the Grand Prix Commission

The Grand Prix Commission, composed of Messrs. Carmelo Ezpeleta (Dorna, Chairman), Paul Duparc (FIM), Herve Poncharal (IRTA) and Takanao Tsubouchi (MSMA) in the presence of Carlos Ezpeleta (Dorna) and Mike Trimby (IRTA, Secretary of the meeting), in an electronic meeting held on 23 January 2017, made the following decision:

Official ECU for the Moto2 Class

On the 18th of October 2016 Dorna opened a tender for the supply of the official Moto2 ECU for three seasons, 2019-2021. By the closing date of the tender expressions of interest had been received from five companies.

After examination of the tenders Dorna decided to propose the appointment of Magneti Marelli as the official supplier for 2019-2021.

The proposal was unanimously approved by the Grand Prix Commission.
