M4 AND TEAM HAMMER CONTINUE RACING PARTNERSHIP

Team Hammer is proud to announce that its long association with M4 Performance Exhaust Systems will continue for the 2017 MotoAmerica AMA/FIM North American Road Racing Championship season.

M4 first came on board as Team Hammer’s title sponsor during the squad’s 25th anniversary season, in 2005. Since that time, the partnership has resulted in two national championships along with a multitude of race wins and podium finishes, taken by numerous riders across multiple classes.

Richard Martin, President of M4 Products L.L.C., said, “This will be M4’s 13th consecutive year as title sponsor of the team, and we are more enthusiastic than ever for the race season to begin. We have already designed a great racing exhaust system for the all-new GSX-R1000 and cannot wait to see the new model on the racetrack. The team will have a fresh new look with some fresh new faces in 2017. We are looking forward to seeing M4 Suzuki at the top of the highly competitive MotoAmerica series this year!”

“We’re very pleased to renew with M4 once again,” said Team Hammer Crew Chief Keith Perry. “We’ve been closely associated with each other over many years, and we’ve been together through thick and thin in the racing game. It’s a perfect match since M4 Performance Exhaust Systems is so interested in racing and improving its products through competition. It truly is an ideal partnership.”

M4 Performance Exhaust designs and manufactures high quality exhaust systems for all popular sport bikes. M4 full systems and slip-on mufflers are precision dyno-tuned for optimal performance and sound.

The 2017 season will mark Team Hammer’s 37th consecutive year of operating as a professional road racing team. Racebikes built and fielded by Team Hammer have won 61 AMA Pro National races, have finished on AMA Pro National podiums 153 times and have won five AMA Pro National Championships (the most recent in 2012), as well as two FIM South American championships. The team has also won 134 endurance races overall (including seven 24-hour races) and won 13 Overall WERA National Endurance Championships with Suzuki motorcycles, and holds the U.S. record for mileage covered in a 24-hour race. The team also competed in the televised 1990s Formula USA National Championship, famously running “Methanol Monster” GSX-R1100 Superbikes fueled by methanol, and won the F-USA Championship four times.
