Yamaha Champions Riding School Hires Industry Veteran Chip Spalding

Millville, NJ – August 2019 – Yamaha Champions Riding School/ChampSchool has secured the services of powersports industry veteran Chip Spalding and his company Burning Star IV Marketing Services. Chip Spalding will take on the responsibilities for Business Development and drive ChampSchool’s future growth.

With the addition of Military Training Classes, Motor Police Training, Street Rider Classes, the first of-its-kind Certified Motorcycle Coach program, a partnership with the United States Motorcycle Coaching Association, and a large and growing online/social media presence, ChampSchool has exponentially extended their reach into the motorcycle industry over the past few years. The addition of Chip is designed to harness that expansion into long-term stability and growth.

“Yamaha Champions Riding School is widely considered the premier two-wheeled vehicle-dynamics training program in the US and I am beyond excited to help the school grow to the next level,” said Chip Spalding. “The product is amazing, the people involved are outstanding, we simply need to show the world how YCRS can change someone’s riding life.”

Originally the Freddie Spencer High-Performance Riding School, the school was “reborn” in 2008 with the help of Yamaha USA and a group of talented riding instructors led by Nick Ienatsch. Now operating at eightworld class facilities around the US, YCRS/ChampSchool puts on as many as 60 schools, clinics, and presentations per year. ChampSchool has a mission to help grow the sport of motorcycling by teaching riders of all levels “Champions Habits” with world class equipment, at world class facilities.

“Yamaha Champions Riding School is completely debt free, profitable, and ready to take the next step in terms of growth. We feel that Chip Spalding is key to help us get there,” said ChampSchool CEO Nick Ienatsch. “Chip has an extensive background in business, racing, and marketing. He’s also a good rider and has seen what ChampSchool does for riders of all levels. We are excited about bringing him onboard.”

ChampSchool is almost sold out for the next event on August 19-20 at Pitt Race. There are still spots available for the New Jersey Motorsports Park single-day MotoSchoolooza event for street riders as well as the two-day ChampSchool on September 3-4. After NJMP, ChampSchool moves to Inde Motorsports Ranch in Tucson, AZ, with monthly schools to close out 2019 and get 2020 rolling.
