Riding his Joe Rascal Racing Harley-Davidson on Dunlop control tires, the Brazilian rider covered the 3.67-mile (5.90 km) road course in 2:10.523, topping the field of 11 riders.

Oscar Gutierrez was the best of the rest with a 2:10.894 on his Niti Racing Harley-Davidson.

Home hero Bradley Smith got third on his ParkinGO Team Harley-Davidson with a lap time of 2:11.448. 

Riding for Saddlemen Racing Harley-Davidson, American teammates Max Toth (2:13.888), Travis Wyman (2:15.096) and Jake Lewis (2:15.309) finished 8th, 10th, and 11th respectively.
