Valentin Perrone led Moto3 World Championship practice Friday afternoon at Silverstone Circuit, in England. Perrone used his Pirelli-shod Red Bull KTM Tech3 machine to lap the 3.67-mile (5.90 km) track in 2:09.568 to lead the field of 26 riders.
Scott Ogden was second-best with a time of 2:09.578 on his CIP Green Power KTM.
Veda Pratama, piloting his Honda Team Asia machine, claimed the third and final spot on the front with a lap time of 2:09.639.
Red Bull KTM Ajo’s Brian Uriarte was fourth with a time of 2:09.668.
Casey O’Gorman got fifth with a time of 2:09.751 on his SIC58 Squadra Corse Honda.

Perrone pips home-hero Ogden for Friday P1 at British GP. The Argentinean was in good form late on, as was Ogden, with a flurry of late laps shuffling the order at the chequered flag.
The opening day of the British GP – and thus the second half of the 2026 season – is all done in Moto3 and it was Valentin Perrone’s (Red Bull KTM Tech3) 2’09.568 which led the way by the final chequered flag. With all main title contenders in Q2 and an array of big names in Q1, qualifying on Saturday is going to be a belter.
As always in Moto3, tactics were the call of the day; late laps would be the ones that set the tone with Perrone doing enough to edge out Ogden from P1 on home turf. The Brit had originally gone into P1 with an alternate strategy and getting out of the main pack of riders. Second was still a highlight for him and the home crowd whilst third place went to rookie star Veda Pratama (Honda Team Asia).
Behind, a raft of big names with Brian Uriarte (Red Bull KTM Ajo) in P4 and Irish star Casey O’Gorman (SIC58 Squadra Corse) just behind. Sixth and seventh went to the returning David Almansa (LIQUI MOLY Dynavolt Intact GP) and Championship leader Maximo Quiles (CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team) respectively. Riders who weren’t able to progress include German GP podium finisher Matteo Bertelle (LEVELUP-MTA), Czech GP winner Hakim Danish (AEON Credit – MT Helmets – MSI) and COTA winner Guido Pini (Leopard Racing).
