Nocco is 13th The European Stock600 championship kicks off in Spain In the first day of free practice and qualifiers, Belgian rider Duwlez shone and confirmed his candidacy for the win. San Carlo Team Italia riders also had a positive debut. Duwlez beat the previous lap record by Russo with a laptime of 2’05″454 during free practice, and secured the provisional pole position with a 2’05″577. Franco Morbidelli (25 laps) is fourth and opens the second row, with a 2’05″877 that puts the Roman only three tenths from the provisional pole position. His teammate Alessandro Nocco (21 laps), who was fast for the first half of the session, had an innocuous crash that hindered the last minutes of qualifiers. He posted the 13th time with a 2’07″363, 1″786 behind Duwlez. Tomorrow morning the riders will have the second and decisive session of qualifiers. The race will be at 6 p.m. local time, and will be broadcasted on Italia2.
