Fogi Racing makes their debut at the British MotoGP held at the famous Silverstone circuit by assisting young scot Kev Coghlan on his FTR Moto2 machine as a wild card entry in the all new Moto2 class. Coghlan is the reigning European & Spanish Supersport Champion. He won both titles with the top Spanish team “Joe Darcy Racing”. Coghlan is bringing his championship riding skills again to the Spanish CEV Buckler Championships this time on his FTR Moto2 machine showing again he is on top of his game with 6th and 1st position in the first two opening rounds. Angus Borland, team owner was asked about his interest in the Moto2 Championships and young Coghlan. He replied, since we ran wild card at USA, Indianapolis MotoGP in the 250 class last season with Adam Roberts, we have been very interested in the Moto2 class as we knew the 250 class was going to be obsolete at the end of 2009 season. The Moto2 class tops off our development team that we have started in the United States which crew chief Scott Young and manager James Hillis operates. We run GP125, GP250 and four stoke Moriwaki 250’s and now Moto2, the full development package. We take on young racers from the age of 12yrs and develop their skills. Our objective is to eventually feed our sport at National and World Level with outstanding young racers that have been brought up through the ranks via GP machinery and through the team environment. As for Kev, Kev is a very tenanted racer, not only do I personally want to help him get further in his career but he is a fantastic roll model to our whole development objective and our young riders in the US. We are looking very forward to Kev’s efforts in the UK and very pleased he is part of Fogi Racing. more info at www.fogi.us
