Barcelona (Spain), Tuesday 19 August 2014 – The FIM and Dorna WSBK Organization wish to announce that the Free State South African Round which was cancelled (Press Release of 31 July) will not be replaced by any other event.

A discussion within the SBK Commission will define any possible options to compensate for the available amount of points that will be missed through the cancellation of the South African event in both in the WSBK and WSS standings and further information will follow in due course.

As announced, the final prize-giving ceremony for both WSBK and WSS classes will take place in Doha, Qatar, the day after the races, on the night of Monday 3 November, while the FIM STK 1000 Cup and the European STK 600 Championship winners will be awarded in Magny-Cours, France, on the night of Sunday 5 October, as well as the European Junior Cup winner.
