Energica: 2020 order backlog continues to grow with a turnover of € 3.7mln on 30/06 and € 4,3mln in the first eight months.

Energica Motor Company, a leading company at worldwide level in the production of highperforming electric motorcycles and the single manufacturer of the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup for the three-year period 2019-2021, listed in the stock market AIM Italia – which is organised and managed by Borsa Italiana – confirms the significant growth of its order backlog that reached the value of Euro 3.7mln on June 30th and a turnover of around Euro 4.3 mln on August 31st. These numbers equal to 165% and 190% of the total motorcycle sale revenue in 2019 (Euro 2.3mln), while in terms of units sold it went beyond a 200% increase of the whole order backlog of 2019.

The production work at the Modena HQ continues after the lockdown period: production has increased its pace and the company delivered more than 78% of the units commissioned (compared to the 23% of deliveries on April 30th 2020 as per a press release issued on the same date).

This trend highlights once again the interest by the market despite the slowdown of deliveries caused by the forced shutdown due to COVID, which had an impact on the key month of sales season, with a reaction by the company to reinforce and speed up production despite the managing challenges of this period of time.

Livia Cevolini, CEO di Energica, said: “Despite the challenging period of time we’re witnessing, we’re extremely happy with the strongly positive feedback we’re receiving from the international market regarding our products. The electric mobility market, contrary to the traditional one, confirms itself among the main growing macro trends of the global economy. The production by Energica continue to speed up in order to align itself to the order backlog, which in the first eight months of the year equals to more than 200% than the total of orders of 2019.”
