Klesel Takes Three Wins At CMRA Season Opener

Michael Klesel put on a show as he rode his Pirelli-shod Yamaha YZF-R6 to wins in C Superstock Expert, B Superbike Expert and C Superbike Expert races during the Central Motorcycle Roadracing Association’s (CMRA) season opener on February 27, on the 17-turn, 2.38 mile full course at MSR Houston in Angleton, Texas.

With Sunday morning starting with cloudy skies and temperatures in the low 40’s, the day began to warmup with temperatures rising and lap times continuing to drop.

Klesel put his head down on Sunday taking each 600 win and leading every lap in each of those races.

Michael Klesel stated “It was a great start to the season. It was a bit cold, but I felt great on the motorcycle all weekend. Following the season last year, we made some changes to our program which showed to be a positive. The bike is on rails and I’m having fun on the motorcycle. I’m really excited to for the rest of the season.”

Michael Klesel would like to thank his sponsors Pirelli, RideSmart, P1 Racing, RES, KTECH, Orient Express, Evol Technology, FTECU, RS Taichi and Moto liberty.

The CMRA will be back in action April 1-3rd at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit (HMRC) 8th Annual Westby Classic.
