TORONTO, Ont. (May 11) The 2010 season marks the 14th year that Inside Track Communications and Professional Motorsports Productions have enjoyed a close working relationship. In fact, PMP entrusted Inside Track with its first project back in 1997, when the company was formed. It may not look like much by today’s standards, but when the first Canadian Superbike Championship program was published in the summer of 1997, it marked the start of a significant alliance that continues to this day. Since the summer of ’97 ITC’s portfolio has grown to include Inside Motorcycles, Inside MotoX & Off Road, and Inside Track Motorsport News magazines, as well as other specialty publications. ITC is also a partner in the Canadian Motorsports Expo held in Toronto each January. At the same time, the relationship with PMP and the Parts Canada Superbike Championship has continued to flourish. ITC handles media relations for the national series and produces the series poster. Inside Motorcycles is title sponsor of both the Team of the Year and Pole Position Awards in the championship. The Team of the Year Award is presented to the racing crew judged by Parts Canada Superbike Championship officials to have performed at the highest level through the race season. The winning team is recognized with a special trophy at the final round of the series. The Pole Position Award goes to the racer who sets the fastest time in Pirelli SuperPole qualifying at each Parts Canada Superbike Championship round. Inside Motorcycles presents the award winner with a cheque for $500. “Partnerships in motorsports tend to come and go, so it’s pretty exciting to have been able to preserve and grow our affiliation with Inside Track Communications over the past 14 years,” said Colin Fraser of PMP. “Thanks to solid and committed partners like ITC and Parts Canada, we have been able to create a national motorcycle racing series that all Canadian enthusiasts should be very proud of.” Work has started on the 2010 Parts Canada Superbike Championship poster and souvenir program. The poster will be available inside the June 2010 issue of Inside Motorcycles. “It’s hard to believe 14 years have passed since that first Superbike program hit the streets,” said David Weber, managing editor of Inside Motorcycles and one of the founding partners of ITC. “We can’t thank Colin and PMP enough for entrusting us with their media needs back in 1997 and it’s been exciting watching the action on the track over the years.” The 2010 Parts Canada Superbike Championship opens May 28-30 at Circuit ICAR near Montreal.
