ANTHONY WEST TO CONTEST ENTIRE SEASON OF BRAZILIAN SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP IN 2019

Round 1 Interlagos, Brazil

Despite the FIM’s best efforts to prematurely end his career, Anthony West will continue his international racing career in Brazil in 2019. After being invited to ride the Kawasaki Racing Team Brasil ZX-10 at the last pre-season test, West and KRT-Brasil were able to agree to terms for the 2019 season. Aboard the KRT Brasil ZX-10R, West— who received a new nickname from the organizer’s in the riders briefing, “the Gringo”– will contest all ten rounds of the Brazilian Superbike Championship in the Superbike class, starting this weekend at Interlagos, located just outside Sao Paolo, Brazil.

“I’m excited to get back on a superbike. After everything the FIM has done to try and stop my career, I jumped at the chance to ride the ZX-10R in the Brazilian Superbike championship. I was here last month and was able to meet the team and ride the bike at the Interlagos circuit for the pre-season test. After riding the bike, I was more determined then ever to race again in 2019. Thanks to everyone at JC Racing and Kawasaki Brasil for making this happen.”

Kawasaki Racing Team Brasil is operated by JC Racing. KRT Brasil is sponsored by: Steck, Castropil, Flip Racing Moto Parts

Unique season long and one event sponsorship opportunities are available.
