PAASCH ACHIEVES TOP 10 FINISH IN BSB MOTO3 GP AT ASSEN

Brandon Paasch got to fulfill a major goal in his racing career this past weekend, racing an ex-world competition Mahindra GP-spec Moto3 racebike with Microlise Cresswell Racing in the British Superbikes HEL Performance Motostar British Championship GP series at TT Circuit Assen. Paasch has long desired to get on a true GP racebike and compete against top international racers, and this was the perfect opportunity to do so.

With just two practice sessions and one qualifying session, Paasch steadily improved and qualified 13th on the Mahindra GP-spec Moto3 racebike. In the first Moto3 GP wet race, Paasch tapped another rider going into Turn 1 and ran off track. Joining back in last place, he pushed hard and incredibly finished in 7th place in the GP class. In the second dry race, Paasch fought hard in a pack of 10 riders but finished just outside the Top 10 in the GP class to complete his best overseas race results weekend to date.

“This turned out to be an incredible experience for me, racing on an ex-world championship GP-spec Moto3 racebike. When John Cresswell said he had a Mahindra Moto3 racebike available for Assen, I worked quickly to put a package together. The opportunity fit nicely into my schedule, and I was excited to be back at one of my favorite tracks at Assen. The first race was a good result, and I wanted to push for a Top 5 finish in the second race, but there was some strong competition there. I’d like to give a huge thanks to John and my mechanic Alan for preparing the bike, as well as the guys at Evolve GT for all the support.” (Brandon Paasch)

Paasch is looking forward to getting back to Brands Hatch with G&S Racing for the finale of the British Superbikes Pirelli National Superstock 600 Championship October 13-15.
