Daytona, Florida (April 25, 2013) – Two-time AMA Pro Motorcycle-SuperStore.com SuperSport National Champion racer James “the Rocket” Rispoli has officially signed with Monster Energy® to endorse the brand for the 2013 and 2014 AMA Pro race season. The new two-year contract marks a continuation of the relationship started in 2010 and continues to blossom as James moves up to the AMA Pro GoPro Daytona SportBike series, the elite 600cc sportbike series here in America.

In 2012 Rispoli hit the podium 16 times and amassed eight wins along the way defending his title and being the first pro racer to win back-to-back championship in the AMA Pro SuperSport class. James now holds two AMA Pro SuperSport National titles along with both East and West coast championships. He caps that impressive results off with a pair of young guns awards given to the rider that most impresses during the season.

2013 Rispoli signed with the National Guard Celtic Racing team and has already completed his first race, the Daytona 200, where he ran up front for the majority of the 57 laps eventually finishing an impressive 7th place out of 31 riders. This was Rispoli’s first time racing the famed Daytona 200, and his results served notice that the young gun is prepared to do whatever it takes in 2013 to run up front.

“In the off season James upped his game, worked hard and continues to impress each time he gets on the track,” says Alex Dunstan, Motorsports Manager for Monster Energy. “James had a great 2011 and 2012 season culminating in two National Championships and we look forward to a full 2013 calendar with James’ honing his craft being impressive again as he is challenges himself in the new AMA Pro SportBike class.”

“2013 has already started off great,” said Rispoli. “I’m in the best shape of my life and having Monster Energy step up to a two-year contract gives me a vote of confidence that will help me focus even more to achieve podiums and win races. I am super excited about the season and the new Daytona SportBike class. Riding against the best 600cc Daytona SportBike riders in the USA is as good as it gets for a young rider. I am pumped and can’t wait to get it on at our next stop Road America.”

Rispoli went on to say, “Being part of the Monster Energy family is incredible. They have helped me so much throughout my career and continue to be there supporting me through rider development programs, marketing, media exposure and much more. I can’t say enough about all the positive things that have come my way since we created the relationship. Just check out my year in review video to see how Monster Energy followed me all season!” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWOcOWW8mck
