Akrapovic and Ducati Corse – a passionate partnership

Akrapovic is pleased to announce that it has become an Official Sponsor of Ducati Corse in MotoGP from the start of this season.

Akrapovic will support the factory Ducati Team as well as their factory-supported team, Pramac Racing Team, which both competing at the highest level of motor sport. The partnership was announced during the official unveiling of the 2014 Ducati Team on March 10th in Munich, Germany.

Akrapovic has been already supporting the Italian manufacturer with bespoke exhaust systems during the 2014 IRTA winter-tests at Sepang/MAL and Phillip Island/AUS.

The high-performance Akrapovic exhaust system for the Desmosedici GP14 MotoGP bikes has been developed with close collaboration between Ducati Corse and Akrapovic engineers. Crafted from special titanium alloy and with a special focus on lightweight and improved performance, Akrapovic exhaust systems will power the 2014 racing machines of Ducati Team MotoGP riders Andrea Dovizioso and Cal Crutchlow, as well as Pramac Racing Team riders Andrea Iannone and Yonny Hernandez.

Technical brilliance is evident in every part of the exhaust system, which provides Ducati’s Desmosedici GP14 engine with additional performance through its unique design and specially-developed solutions.

The Akrapovic and Ducati Corse partnership goes beyond technical support with exclusively made exhaust systems. It’s a strong union of technology, engineering, passion and determination to win.

The newly announced partnership will see its inaugural race of the 2014 season take place in Doha/ Qatar on March 23rd.
