Guzzitech.com Announces Details Of 2008 Contingency Program For Moto Guzzi Racers

From a press release issued by Guzzitech.com: Guzzitech.com is proud to announce the 2008 MG Cup program. For 2008, the MG Cup will support Moto Guzzi racers in any recognized US Roadracing Club, including WSMC and AHRMA. Cash will be paid for any podium wins on a Moto Guzzi as follows: $100 1st Place in any class $50 2nd Place in any class $25 3rd Place in any class with a maximum of $150 in cash per racer per racing weekend. In order to emphasize Moto Guzzi’s long history of racing at Daytona International Speedway, payouts for all 2008 Bike Week races at Daytona in March 2008, including AHRMA races, will be doubled, with no limit on the maximum amount. For all Daytona 2008 races during Bike Week, the MG Cup will pay as follows: $200 1st Place in any class $100 2nd Place in any class $50 3rd Place in any class For 2008, in order to recognize and support Moto Guzzi riders’ current efforts in Land Speed Racing, the MG Cup program will pay $250 for each recognized land speed record attained in 2008 by a Moto Guzzi in an event sanctioned with the major LSR organizations (SCTA, et al). The MG Cup program is made possible by the passionate support of Moto Guzzi dealers and riders led by Moto Guzzi parts supplier MG Cycle (www.mgcycle.com). The program has also received abundant support from the West Virginia Moto Guzzi Riders (www.mountainguzzi.com) led by Lemuel Stevens.
