More, from a press release issued by American Honda: American Honda and the Pro Honda brand are pleased to support 4x National mini road racing champion Peter Lenz for the 2008 season. Ten-year-old Peter’s first Honda was also his first MiniGP bike, a Honda NSR50R. He has won a slew of races on that same NSR since. American Honda has provided Honda Pro Oils and a support budget to help keep Lenz’s new bikes running smoothly throughout the year. Lenz will be running a CRF150R powered RS125GP, a CR85 powered RS125GP, and a NSR50R. American Honda’s Rick Mitchell, stated, “The Pro Honda brand is excited to begin a relationship with Peter Lenz and his racing program. We hope this is just the start of a mutually rewarding long-term relationship with Peter”. Peter who is a scant 4’5″ and 70lbs is using the 2008 season to further hone his race craft in MiniGPs while running full-size GP chassis equipment. Peter is already looking towards 2009 when he will be old enough to participate in the USGPRU aboard a Honda powered Moriwaki Engineering MD250H. Peter’s season kicks off March 17-18 with the SMRRC.
