First Round Of Triumph ParkinGO European Series Will Have 14-Rider Field

All is almost set for the first race of ParkinGO European Series. The European challenge, which will be held at seven of the remaining 9 European WSBK tracks, will kick off at the Valencia track on Friday April 9th, and will line up fourteen riders representing five countries: Italy, Spain, France, England and Lithuania. The permanent riders will be joined during the season by wild cards as well, who will make the races even more hard-fought. The grid is made up of 13 male riders and one female rider: Samuela De Nardi who has wealth of experience in international competitions, a female European title and a participation at the “8 hours of Suzuka”. The male riders list includes Brit Michael Dunlop, son of Robert and nephew of Joey. Michael comes from a family who holds the record for wins in the Northwest 200 and the TT. The 22 year-old has already won once in the Northwest 200 and in the TT in the 250 and 600 classes respectively. Italian Fabrizio Perotti has obtained important results as well , racing in World STK 1000 and, later in his career, in Supersport with team CRS. Spaniard Oscar Pena is an experieced endurance rider as is Italian Stefano Cordara who took part various time at the endurance championship. Matteo Marzotto, descendant of one of the most important families of Italian economy, comes from the Italian Supersport championship and was runner-up in the Thruxton Cup. Rocco Anaclerio, a.k.a. DJ Ringo, has experience in the Italian and international endurance competitions . Virgin Radio’s music director will be the “on board” correspondent for ParkinGO European Series. Giuliano Rovelli could not have possibly missed the challenge. The CEO of ParkinGO used to shine as a rider in the ’90s, when he raced in the European Supersport Championship. Toni Salom raced in the Spanish Supersport Championship. He is the brother of David Salom who is racing for Triumph in World Supersport. Lucio Nicastro, Paolo Rovelli, Francis Marriage and Donatas Sivickis all raced in Italian trophies as well.
