Team MP13 and Californian Cory Ventura Team up for 2018!

CHICAGO, IL USA (February 22, 2018) – With an exciting 2018 MotoAmerica Series just around the corner, eyes are focused on what lies ahead for the fourth season of the premier road race championship in the United States. Highly anticipated class changes have been made with the old KTM RC Cup class being opened up to more manufacturers and re-branded for the 2018 MotoAmerica Liqui Moly Junior Cup.

One more piece to the 2018 racing season puzzle has fallen in place as Team MP13 (owned and managed by MotoAmerica Pro Racer Melissa Paris) and Cory Ventura have teamed up to race the entire season in the 2018 MotoAmerica Liqui Moly Junior Cup. Sixteen-year-old Ventura will be going after the number 1 plate aboard an MP13 Yamaha R3 prepared by Graves Yamaha.

Cory Ventura is one of the Championship favorites, and with good reason. In 2017, Californian Cory Ventura was a stand-out in the Young Gun category. Ventura was the runner-up in the Championship scoring four wins with nine overall podium appearances. He also led Team America with his fifth-place finish in the KTM RC Cup World Final in Jerez, Spain.

Ventura has this to say about teaming up with Paris and MP13: “I am super excited to ride for MP13 Racing in the 2018 MotoAmerica Junior Cup. We have started our development on the Graves Yamaha R3 at the Buttonwillow test. I am very happy with how things went working with Melissa, and I think we will make a great team this year!”

Paris added, “I got the opportunity to know Cory at the last few rounds last season, and I was really impressed with his attitude and work ethic. He’s already proven himself to be a strong competitor. With his talent and our Graves prepped Yamaha R3, I’m really excited to see how we can do in the inaugural season of the Jr Cup.”

Paris plans to share details of her own race plans in the coming weeks.

Team MP13 is supported by: Joe Rocket, MotoGeezer, Maxima, Sector 9, Core Moto, Ace Data Storage, Beta Tools, Hotbodies, Yoshimura, Impact Armor, Women’s Sports Foundation, and the Project Podium Grant
