World Superbike: Pirelli To Sponsor Season Finale In Qatar

Pirelli set to support WorldSBK in final round of 2018

Tyre manufacturer lights up season finale in the desert

As the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship prepares for the season’s close at Losail International Circuit, Pirelli and Dorna WSBK Organization are delighted to announce the Pirelli Qatar Round will be held from 24th – 26th October.

Expanding their support with the WorldSBK championship throughout the 2018 season, the Italian company have been event round sponsor for the Aragon and Riviera di Rimini Rounds so far this year. Supporting two of the biggest events on the calendar, they will now put their name to one of the most widely anticipated rounds of the season, under the stunning floodlights of Qatar.

With a relationship expanding for 15 consecutive seasons, the technical partnership between Pirelli and WorldSBK has continued to impress throughout 2018. “We sell what we race, we race what we sell” is the companies motto, and it’s clear the importance of the quality of tyres Pirelli provide is of the utmost importance and is mirrored in every aspect of the company.

The Pirelli Qatar Round will be a widely viewed point of the season, as the historical year comes to an end. Fans will not only see Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK) try to break his own record of total points scored in a season, as well as a take the record of the most wins in a season. They can also enjoy the battle for second in the title chase between Chaz Davies (Aruba.it Racing -Ducati) and Michael van der Mark (Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK Team) come to a conclusion.

On top of this, there is the battle between Sandro Cortese (Kallio Racing) and Jules Cluzel (NRT) for the FIM Supersport World Championship which won’t be one to miss. It won’t be a season finale to miss!
