San Carlo Team Italia Announces Its Racing Plans For 2014

Team Italia and San Carlo still together in 2014 The Italian Motorcycle Federation (FMI) announces with pride and satisfaction the 2014 SAN CARLO TEAM ITALIA. After the recent death of Dorian Romboni, which was supposed to fill the role of Moto3 Team Director, FMI setted up a team that, with Doriano in the heart, will face the new season. The Team Director role will remain in honour of “Rambo”, to remember him, his friendship and his teachings. ? Alfredo Mastropasqua has been confirmed as the project manager, while Virginio Ferrari will be the new Moto3 Team Manager and Carlo Pernat the head of external relations and communications. Two “big” names, which will transmit to our young riders their great experience and an invaluable wealth of technical knowledge and human qualities. Andrea Locatelli and Matteo Ferrari will compete in the Moto3 World Championship with Mahindra bikes. SAN CARLO TEAM ITALIA plans are also confirmed in the Superstock 600 European Championship; here, Cristiano Migliorati will be the Team Manager. Marco Faccani and Andrea Tucci, both on Kawasaki, will race there. SAN CARLO TEAM ITALIA is a FMI project realized thanks to the renewed partnership with San Carlo, a fundamental cooperation to continue to work on the “Talenti Azzurri” project. Paolo Sesti , FMI President: “We confirmed the San Carlo Team Italia project and we are confident that our young riders will give us a lot of satisfactions, as in 2013 happened. FMI supports young riders since several years and now we are beginning to reap benefits”. Alberto Vitaloni, San Carlo Gruppo Alimentare S.p.A President: “Our ongoing commitment to help young italians athletes grows stronger and stronger in the ” Talenti Azzurri” project, in the San Carlo Team Italia and in the support to the FMI. I am proud to announce that in 2014 we will still support the champions of tomorrow”. Carlo Pernat: “I’m really happy to pick up this challenge, I’m proud to be part of this project . In recent years San Carlo Team Italia has grown riders like Nocco , Morbidelli and Fenati that are the base for the future of our motorcycle movement. Team Italia , as it always has been , will be the springboard that will allow Italy to return to the glories of the past”. Virginio Ferrari: “I am very happy to be part of the San Carlo Team Italia FMI. It will be very exciting to help young riders. I’ll try to let them find their limits, their best possible performances”. Cristiano Migliorati: “2013 was a fantastic year for us. We reached the title and a second place, so we’ll start the new season with more determination than ever before. I am very pleased with the choice of Andrea and Marco: they are two serious riders , they are hungry for victory”.
