Arai’s new Defiant full-face model offers style along with substance, with the helmet featuring many of the elements and functions of the company’s other premium helmets. The Defiant includes the company’s advanced cheek pad design that offers increased comfort and reduces interior noise, as well as 5mm peel-away cheek and temple pads to allow the rider to customize the fit of the helmet. The helmet’s Dry-Max liner material prevents water absorption, and the neckroll pad flows more air to the bottom of the helmet at lower speeds for increased cooling. The Defiant’s front spoiler design creates downforce to stabilize the helmet, minimize buffeting and lift and reduce wind noise. The shell incorporates the Hyper-Ridge reinforcing band, and the upper front intake vents have been redesigned to close more completely, smoothing the airflow over the helmet. The helmet, which meets or exceeds DOT and Snell 2010 standards, comes with a clear Pinlock faceshield and anti-fog lens insert, and is available in five solid colors and six designs in sizes from XXS to XXXL. Suggested retail starts at $619.95. For more information, contact Arai Helmet Americas, Dept. RW, P.O. Box 9485, Daytona Beach, FL 32120, (386) 441-8500, www.araiamericas.com .
