MotoAmerica: Motovation Is 2025 Supersport Title Sponsor

MotoAmerica, North America’s premier motorcycle road racing series, is thrilled to announce that Motovation, an industry leader in motorcycle customization for over 20 years, is now the title sponsor of the 2025 MotoAmerica Supersport Championship.

Texas-based Motovation imports unique, high-quality motorcycle accessories from around the world for racers, mechanics and motorcycle enthusiasts – all with a focus on elite quality and style.

The 18-race 2025 MotoAmerica Motovation Championship begins April 4-6 at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama, and concludes September 26-28 at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, New Jersey.

Last year’s Supersport series was a battle from start to finish between Strack Racing’s Mathew Scholtz and Warhorse HSBK Ducati Racing’s PJ Jacobsen, with Scholtz ultimately taking the crown.

Dakar: Benavides Tops Tight Stage Five

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Luciano Benavides won the fifth stage of the 2025 Dakar rally, finishing the 492 kilometer (305 mile) segment in 4:53.00, just 47 seconds ahead of Monster Energy Honda HRC’s Adrien van Beveren. Americans Ricky Brabec and Skyler Howes were fifth and sixth, while Americans Jacob Argubright and Mason Klein were 14th and 42nd. Daniel Sanders retained the overall lead, seven minutes and two seconds ahead of Tosha Schareina.

Dakar: Sanders Tops Day Four

Australian Daniel Sanders topped the fourth stage of the 2025 Dakar rally, ahead of Tosha Schareina and Jose Ignacio Cornejo Florimo. Top American Ricky Brabec finished 17th, just ahead of teammate Skyler Howes. Fellow Americans Jacob Argubright and Mason Klein finished the stage 19th and 36th. Sanders held the overall lead, ahead of Schareina and Ross Branch.

MotoGP Stars Headline Valentino Rossi’s 100KM Of Champions

Two-time MotoGP World Champion Francesco Bagnaia, seven-time MotoGP race winner Enea Bastianini and three-time race winners Marco Bezzecchi and Franco Morbidelli will join nine-time Grand Prix World Champion Valentino Rossi for the 2025 running of Rossi’s 100km Of Champions flat track event.

MotoGP riders Pedro Acosta, Luca Marini and Miguel Oliveira are also among the riders slated to take part in the annual off-season event, which features riders from Moto2, Moto3, World Superbike, British Superbike and open road racing. Americans Sammy Halbert and J.D. Beach also are listed among the entries.

The event is slated to take place Jan. 10-11 at the VR46 Ranch in Tavullia.

MRA Moves to 1-Day Schedule and Teams Up with Legion Moto

The Motorcycle Roadracing Association (MRA) has decided to move to a 1-day race schedule for 2025, and partnered with Legion Moto Trackdays to provide a welcoming track day experience and ensure motorcycle road racing enthusiasts continue to have 2-day events at race tracks in Colorado.

Legion Moto Trackdays, founded in 2019, started with an intense passion for track riding in a safe and fun environment, and have built a solid reputation in a few short years, especially with first time track riders. Hosting events at 3 major tracks in Colorado, as well as Kansas, Utah, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Arizona – Legion Moto Trackdays has made a name for themselves as a premier track day organization in Colorado and surrounding states.

MRA President, Bob Hasenhundl said of the news “The MRA Board of Directors believe the future of motorcycle road racing in Colorado depends on a proactive approach to introduce street-riders and canyon-carvers to the track – and ultimately – to the passion that is motorcycle road racing, and Legion Moto Trackdays is ideally suited to partner with the MRA to help grow the sport of motorcycle road racing in Colorado. This collaboration is made possible in part by the MRA’s switch to a 1-day race schedule for 2025, consisting of a condensed itinerary featuring 22 classes of racing. The MRA Board of Directors believes this collaboration and schedule will benefit families and racers alike, lending itself to making race weekends a little more affordable, both financially and the commodity of time by allowing racers to take less time off work. The change to a 1-day race schedule did require some sacrifices, and among them is the MRA SuperStreet program; created in 2010, SuperStreet gave street riders the opportunity to experience the thrill of road racing at a significantly reduced cost. Legion Moto Trackdays will be offering New Racer Orientation (NRO) during the track day, giving street riders a more comprehensive introduction to road racing, yet still at a reasonable cost.

Over the past 15 years, the MRA has become known for hosting an annual 4-hour endurance race, attracting racers and teams from across the country. The switch to a 1-day schedule may appear to put that event in question going forward, the MRA is proud to announce that Legion Moto will be hosting endurance racing on the Saturday of MRA Round 3 (July 26th), with a 2-hour Ultra Lightweight endurance before lunch, and 4-hour endurance after lunch (Friday open lapping will be provided by High Plains Raceway).

The 2025 MRA Season Schedule is as follows:

· New Racer School – Saturday, April 12th– High Plains Raceway

· Round 1 – Saturday, May 10th – High Plains Raceway (Friday lapping provided by HPR)

· Round 2 – Sunday, June 8th – Pueblo Motorsports Park (Saturday lapping provided by Legion Moto Trackdays)

· Round 3 – Sunday, July 27th – High Plains Raceway (Saturday Endurance provided by Legion Moto; Friday lapping provided by HPR)

· Round 4 – Sunday, August 17th – Pueblo Motorsports Park (Saturday lapping provided by Legion Moto Trackdays)

· Round 5 – Sunday, September 21st – Pikes Peak International Raceway (Saturday lapping provided by Legion Moto Trackdays)

Varnes to Race for Karns Performance in the 2025 ASRA Series

Birdsboro, PA — January 7, 2025 — 13-year-old rising road racing star, Cole Varnes, is excited to announce his partnership with Karns Performance for the 2025 racing season. Varnes will compete aboard the CFMoto 450 in the highly competitive ASRA Series, marking a significant leap forward in his growing racing career.

Jason Karns, owner of Karns Performance, expressed his enthusiasm for the new collaboration: “We’ve been looking to keep our CFMoto 450 on the track, and when we saw Cole in action last year, we knew he was the perfect fit to continue the development of the CFMoto 450. His skill, focus, and maturity on the track left a lasting impression. We’re confident that with Cole at the helm, this bike will continue to shine. We’re excited to have him on board for the 2025 season.”

Varnes, coming off an impressive 2024 flat track season with a District 6 Flat Track Championship in the 250 Class and two class championships at Square Deal Raceway in New York, will now shift his primary focus to road racing in 2025. While dedicating himself to road racing, he will continue to race flat track on off weekends. His partnership with Karns Performance marks a pivotal step in his development, providing him the resources and support needed to hone his skills as he works toward his long-term goal of competing in the MotoAmerica series.

“I’m really excited to get back to road racing in 2025 and to be a part of the Karns Performance team!” said Varnes. “I spent a lot of time racing flat track last year with a few road races thrown in, but now I’m focused on road racing full-time. Dakar: Americans Second, Third In Stage Three

Americans Ricky Brabec and Skyler Howes were second and third in the third stage of the 2025 Dakar rally. Brabec was four minutes and one second behind stage winner Lorenzon Santolini, and Howes was just nine seconds behind Brabec.

Americans Jacob Argubright and Mason finished the stage 18th and 45th.

Australian Daniel Sanders held the overall lead, with Howes second and Brabec fourth.

Motorcycle Racer Larry Pegram & Daughter Riley Going IMSA Car Racing

Pegram Racing Taking On 2025 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge

Pegram Racing is proud to announce its plans to compete in the entire 2025 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge sports car racing series. The Hebron, Ohio-based team will field former professional Superbike racer Larry Pegram and his 20-year-old daughter Riley Pegram in a Hyundai Elantra N in the Touring Car (TCR) category.

The IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge features 10 rounds held at iconic venues like Daytona International Speedway, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and Laguna Seca Racing, as well as other major markets in the U.S. and Canada. The races, lasting two to four hours, are televised on NBC Sports, Peacock, YouTube, and IMSA.tv to an audience that measured 10.8 unique viewers in 2024. In addition, IMSA’s social media channels reached 388 million fans last season.

Larry Pegram is best known for his success as a motorcycle road racer and team owner, having won multiple Superbike races in America’s premier series and scored points in the Superbike World Championship. In 2016, Pegram pumped the brakes on his motorcycle racing career and switched to building businesses in Ohio with a sprinkling of four-wheel racing on the side. Now 52, Pegram is returning to professional racing alongside his eldest daughter Riley.

“I’ve been racing for a long time and enjoyed a lot of success,” said the elder Pegram, “but nothing compares to being able to go racing with your daughter. It’s a whole different level of enjoyment. And to be able to do it with IMSA, at the best tracks in America, and in front of the greatest fans makes it that much better.”

Riley Pegram, age 20, was bitten by the racing bug at age 16, when she entered the karting world and immediately started climbing the ranks. Soon, Riley expanded to racing cars and, in 2023, she jumped into a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 in the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America with MDK Motorsports. Riley achieved a perfect finishing record and claimed fourth place in the final Championship standings. After a partial IMSA season that saw her and her father take two top-10 finishes in the final three races of 2024, Riley is locked and loaded for her first full Michelin Pilot Challenge campaign.

“I’m really looking forward to being back in the Michelin Pilot Challenge series, and I feel blessed to do it with our family-run team,” said daughter Riley. “We’re a new team to IMSA, and we have a lot to learn, so I’m excited to see how we grow and develop during the season.

(Pegram made his latest comeback to motorcycle racing in MotoAmerica Supersport at Mid-Ohio in 2024, leading and finishing third in Supersport Race One but DNF Supersport Race Two with a mechanical issue. Pegram Racing is also planning a new reality TV show, similar to one Larry Pegram did circa 2010-2013 when he was racing in AMA Pro Superbike, called “Superbike Family.” )

World Supersport: Simone Corsi Retires From Racing

Simone Corsi, a five-time Grand Prix winner and winner of the 2024 World Supersport Challenge, has announced his retirement from racing.

“My career as a pilot ends here. Sooner or later this moment had to come,” Corsi posted on his Facebook page. “It’s been 23 very long years. Sacrifices, satisfactions but also many disappointments.

“In 2025 new challenges await me, I’ll be on the track but with a different role. Thank you family, friends and fans. Happy New Year to everyone.”

Corsi made 321 Grand Prix starts, with 210 of them in Moto2, where he scored nine podiums across his career. Corsi won five 125cc Grand Prix races in 95 starts. Aboard a Renzi Corse Ducati Panigale V2, he won the 2024 World Supersport Challenge–a Championship-within-a-Championship for Supersport riders who competed in only the European rounds.

Corsi will serve as Sporting Director for Forward Racing’s Moto2 efforts in 2025.

Endurance racing fuels our passion, so putting all our efforts into keeping that event alive was an easy decision. We’re looking forward to an incredible 2025 season.”

This collaboration is made possible in part by the MRA’s switch to a 1-day race schedule for 2025, consisting of a condensed itinerary featuring 22 classes of racing. The MRA Board of Directors believes this collaboration and schedule will benefit families and racers alike, lending itself to making race weekends a little more affordable, both financially and the commodity of time by allowing racers to take less time off work. The change to a 1-day race schedule did require some sacrifices, and among them is the MRA SuperStreet program; created in 2010, SuperStreet gave street riders the opportunity to experience the thrill of road racing at a significantly reduced cost. Legion Moto Trackdays will be offering New Racer Orientation (NRO) during the track day, giving street riders a more comprehensive introduction to road racing, yet still at a reasonable cost.

Over the past 15 years, the MRA has become known for hosting an annual 4-hour endurance race, attracting racers and teams from across the country. The switch to a 1-day schedule may appear to put that event in question going forward, the MRA is proud to announce that Legion Moto will be hosting endurance racing on the Saturday of MRA Round 3 (July 26th), with a 2-hour Ultra Lightweight endurance before lunch, and 4-hour endurance after lunch (Friday open lapping will be provided by High Plains Raceway).

The 2025 MRA Season Schedule is as follows:

· New Racer School – Saturday, April 12th– High Plains Raceway

· Round 1 – Saturday, May 10th – High Plains Raceway (Friday lapping provided by HPR)

· Round 2 – Sunday, June 8th – Pueblo Motorsports Park (Saturday lapping provided by Legion Moto Trackdays)

· Round 3 – Sunday, July 27th – High Plains Raceway (Saturday Endurance provided by Legion Moto; Friday lapping provided by HPR)

· Round 4 – Sunday, August 17th – Pueblo Motorsports Park (Saturday lapping provided by Legion Moto Trackdays)

· Round 5 – Sunday, September 21st – Pikes Peak International Raceway (Saturday lapping provided by Legion Moto Trackdays)

Varnes to Race for Karns Performance in the 2025 ASRA Series

Birdsboro, PA — January 7, 2025 — 13-year-old rising road racing star, Cole Varnes, is excited to announce his partnership with Karns Performance for the 2025 racing season. Varnes will compete aboard the CFMoto 450 in the highly competitive ASRA Series, marking a significant leap forward in his growing racing career.

Jason Karns, owner of Karns Performance, expressed his enthusiasm for the new collaboration: “We’ve been looking to keep our CFMoto 450 on the track, and when we saw Cole in action last year, we knew he was the perfect fit to continue the development of the CFMoto 450. His skill, focus, and maturity on the track left a lasting impression. We’re confident that with Cole at the helm, this bike will continue to shine. We’re excited to have him on board for the 2025 season.”

Varnes, coming off an impressive 2024 flat track season with a District 6 Flat Track Championship in the 250 Class and two class championships at Square Deal Raceway in New York, will now shift his primary focus to road racing in 2025. While dedicating himself to road racing, he will continue to race flat track on off weekends. His partnership with Karns Performance marks a pivotal step in his development, providing him the resources and support needed to hone his skills as he works toward his long-term goal of competing in the MotoAmerica series.

“I’m really excited to get back to road racing in 2025 and to be a part of the Karns Performance team!” said Varnes. “I spent a lot of time racing flat track last year with a few road races thrown in, but now I’m focused on road racing full-time. My goal for the season is to gain more experience on a variety of tracks, which will be key as I work toward the MotoAmerica series. The CFMoto 450 is already a proven winner, and I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish together.”

Dakar: Americans Second, Third In Stage Three

Americans Ricky Brabec and Skyler Howes were second and third in the third stage of the 2025 Dakar rally. Brabec was four minutes and one second behind stage winner Lorenzon Santolini, and Howes was just nine seconds behind Brabec.

Americans Jacob Argubright and Mason finished the stage 18th and 45th.

Australian Daniel Sanders held the overall lead, with Howes second and Brabec fourth.

Pegram Racing Taking On 2025 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge

Pegram Racing is proud to announce its plans to compete in the entire 2025 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge sports car racing series. The Hebron, Ohio-based team will field former professional Superbike racer Larry Pegram and his 20-year-old daughter Riley Pegram in a Hyundai Elantra N in the Touring Car (TCR) category.

The IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge features 10 rounds held at iconic venues like Daytona International Speedway, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and Laguna Seca Racing, as well as other major markets in the U.S. and Canada. The races, lasting two to four hours, are televised on NBC Sports, Peacock, YouTube, and IMSA.tv to an audience that measured 10.8 unique viewers in 2024. In addition, IMSA’s social media channels reached 388 million fans last season.

Larry Pegram is best known for his success as a motorcycle road racer and team owner, having won multiple Superbike races in America’s premier series and scored points in the Superbike World Championship. In 2016, Pegram pumped the brakes on his motorcycle racing career and switched to building businesses in Ohio with a sprinkling of four-wheel racing on the side. Now 52, Pegram is returning to professional racing alongside his eldest daughter Riley.

“I’ve been racing for a long time and enjoyed a lot of success,” said the elder Pegram, “but nothing compares to being able to go racing with your daughter. It’s a whole different level of enjoyment. And to be able to do it with IMSA, at the best tracks in America, and in front of the greatest fans makes it that much better.”

Riley Pegram, age 20, was bitten by the racing bug at age 16, when she entered the karting world and immediately started climbing the ranks. Soon, Riley expanded to racing cars and, in 2023, she jumped into a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 in the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America with MDK Motorsports. Riley achieved a perfect finishing record and claimed fourth place in the final Championship standings. After a partial IMSA season that saw her and her father take two top-10 finishes in the final three races of 2024, Riley is locked and loaded for her first full Michelin Pilot Challenge campaign.

“I’m really looking forward to being back in the Michelin Pilot Challenge series, and I feel blessed to do it with our family-run team,” said daughter Riley. “We’re a new team to IMSA, and we have a lot to learn, so I’m excited to see how we grow and develop during the season.

(Pegram made his latest comeback to motorcycle racing in MotoAmerica Supersport at Mid-Ohio in 2024, leading and finishing third in Supersport Race One but DNF Supersport Race Two with a mechanical issue. Pegram Racing is also planning a new reality TV show, similar to one Larry Pegram did circa 2010-2013 when he was racing in AMA Pro Superbike, called “Superbike Family.” )

World Supersport: Simone Corsi Retires From Racing

Simone Corsi, a five-time Grand Prix winner and winner of the 2024 World Supersport Challenge, has announced his retirement from racing.

“My career as a pilot ends here. Sooner or later this moment had to come,” Corsi posted on his Facebook page. “It’s been 23 very long years. Sacrifices, satisfactions but also many disappointments.

“In 2025 new challenges await me, I’ll be on the track but with a different role. Thank you family, friends and fans. Happy New Year to everyone.”

Corsi made 321 Grand Prix starts, with 210 of them in Moto2, where he scored nine podiums across his career. Corsi won five 125cc Grand Prix races in 95 starts. Aboard a Renzi Corse Ducati Panigale V2, he won the 2024 World Supersport Challenge–a Championship-within-a-Championship for Supersport riders who competed in only the European rounds.

Corsi will serve as Sporting Director for Forward Racing’s Moto2 efforts in 2025.
