When Valentino Rossi retired from MotoGP at the end of the last year he had been racing motorcycles for 31 years. Amazing, eh? But what about Jeremy McWilliams, who’s been racing on and off for 35 years and is still going strong? The 58-year-old Northern Irishman is a gnarly old warrior, whose hands and fingers (what’s left of them) are such a mess that they look like he’s gone a few rounds with a shark.

Just 18 months from now he will be able to claim his free over-60s bus pass in the UK but still he comes back for more: Earlier this year he won a race at Daytona International Speedway and stood on the podium at the North West 200…

Cody Wyman Racing In Australian Supersport Finale

Cody Wyman to Race Australian Supersport at The Bend November 25-27

After a successful 2022 campaign in the United States, Cody Wyman will make his international debut this weekend at The Bend Motorsport Park during the season finale of the Australian Superbike Championship. Cody will pilot the Addicted to Track Yamaha YZF-R6 in the Michelin Australian Supersport class.

The decision was made during the week for Cody to fill in for an injured rider. He is fresh off winning the 2022 MotoAmerica Junior Cup Championship on a Kawasaki Ninja 400, as well as the 2022 N2 Racing/WERA National Endurance Championship aboard a Yamaha YZF-R1. Wyman will qualify on Saturday, and then on Sunday he will have two races to cap off the weekend.

“I’m so happy to be over here in Australia for the first time,” Wyman said. “I flew over last Thursday to support my brother Travis, and an opportunity came up to compete on an R6. First off, I want to wish Jacob Hatch a fast recovery, and I can’t thank the Addicted to Track guys enough for choosing me to race for them. They seem to have a great presence in the paddock and really support the racing.”

Wyman will also be teammates this weekend with his brother, Travis, who is competing in ASBK for the same team. This came to a shock to Cody as he didn’t plan on traveling to Australia to compete.

“I always joke how riders should never show up to a race track without your gear, and this time I broke my own rule. Thanks to sponsors and friends for getting me geared up, and I really appreciate everyone at ASBK, FIM, and AMA that helped get me sorted for the weekend. We’ll need to adapt quick with all of these new factors, but I can not wait to get the weekend going.”

You can follow all the action on https//www.asbk.com.au/ live timing and live video, including https://www.facebook.com/asbksuperbikes for streaming.

Addicted to Track is a motorsports logistics company that helps its clients get on racetracks in Australia and abroad, through its fleet of race-ready motorcycles. To learn more about

Shinya Ezawa will race in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup in 2023! The Japanese rider, who joined the Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup as a rookie this season, impressed from the off and fought for the crown before ending the season as runner up.

Ezawa will join the Rookies in 2023 as Dorna Sports’ selected rider, where he will continue to race 2022 Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup Champion Hakim Danish from Malaysia and Australian ATC frontrunner Carter Thompson, both of whom were selected at the Rookies selection event earlier in the season.

Congratulations, Shinya!

Rhys Stephenson has been promoted to the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup! After an impressive season in the Honda British Talent Cup, Stephenson has been chosen as the selected rider to move up the Road to MotoGP™ in 2023. This year, the opportunity is a place in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup.

Stephenson emerged as the key race day challenger to eventual Champion Johnny Garness in 2022, with the two staging a number of impressive duels. Stephenson will now move up the Road to MotoGP™ as Dorna and MSVR’s selected rider, but won’t cross paths again with his BTC rival – for now – as Garness will not reach the minimum age to compete in the Rookies in 2023.

Congratulations, Rhys!

Avery Dreher, age 16, took two second-place finishes and two wins during a WERA Sportsman Series event November 19-20 at Roebling Road Raceway, in Bloomingdale, Georgia.

On Saturday, Drehere, riding his Yamaha YZF-R6, kicked off the weekend with a second in C Superbike and another second in C Superstock. On Sunday, Dreher finished the weekend with victories in both C Superbike and C Superstock.

Dreher said that he couldn’t have done it without his awesome Continental tires. He said they provided him with all the grip he needed on the track and is super happy with how they performed in the cold weather.
