Riding his Pata Yamaha Ten Kate Racing YZF-R9 on Pirelli control tires, the Turkish rider covered the 2.74-mile (4.41 km) road course in 1:39.977, topping the field of 33 riders.

Roberto Garcia was the best of the rest with a 1:40.126 on his GMT94 Yamaha YZF-R9.

 Philipp Oettl was third with a lap time of 1:40.307 on his Feel Racing WorldSSP Team Ducati Panigale V2.
