Michael Rinaldi, riding his Aruba.it Racing Ducati Panigale V4 R, led a tight World Superbike Free Practice One Friday morning at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, in Spain.

In spite of having 250 rpm less to work with, Rinaldi’s best lap time was a 1:41.633, which topped the 1:41.652 Jonathan Rea did using an extra 250 rpm on his Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR.

Toprak Razgatlioglu was third in the session with a 1:41.719 on his Pata Yamaha Prometeon YZF-R1.

American Garrett Gerloff was 14th on his Bonovo Action BMW M 1000 RR.
