A new ergonomic tank for Camier’s Ducati Panigale V4 R

The Barni Racing Team is working at his maximum to be ready when it will be possible to be on track again.

The goal of Marco Barnabò’s team is to put Leon Camier in the best conditions to be competitive at the restart of the WorldSBK. At that time the Ashton rider will have a new aid: a revisited tank in shape and material.

The new ergonomic features will be useful for Leon to have a better position on the saddle and increase the feeling especially in the “turning” phase of riding.

The new additional appendix has been studied and realized by Divion srl, a company specialized in the design and manufacturing of moulds, mechanical and stylistic details made to measure.

Based on the indications provided directly by Camier, Divion has created a carbon fiber model tank with an innovative design, the aim is to put the rider in the best position to have maximum control of the bike in all phases of riding.

The prototype has been realized with the 3D scanning and Reverse Engineering technique, it will be tested on the track and eventually adapted according to the rider’s feedback.

Divion srl – the company

Divion Srl was founded in 2016 as an innovative startup based in Carpi, in the province of Modena. The company, specialized in the design and manufacture of moulds, mechanical and stylistic details made to measure, has been immediately active in various sectors including automotive, foundries, packaging, visual design, nautical, biomedical, aerospace. The multi-disciplinary skills of the company allows Divion to be present in all sectors with high innovative components.

Marco Barnabo, Team Principal

“Leon gave us important input for the development of the Ducati Panigale V4 R, among them he expressed the need for a different riding position to exploit the bike 100%. The “height” factor plays a pivotal role in the riding position and we want to do everything we can to put it in the best condition. We thought: “If we need a new tank, let’s do it”. Through another supplier we got in contact with Divion and we met a serious, competent and fast company that, despite the difficulties caused by the Coronavirus, got us the first prototype very quickly. Now we are waiting to test this component and Camier’s feedback.”

Stefano Bompani, CEO Divion srl

“Our “open” philosophy leads us to have always new reference partners, while our goal to satisfy the needs of our customers is always the same, exploring all materials and technical aspects . With this in mind we approached the needs of the Barni Racing Team, trying to apply our skills in a sector that I personally already know, motorsport. Each time is a new challenge because the needs change, the fascinating part of this project is that there is not only one road to go, but only to put the rider at ease. It all depends on his feelings.”
