WERA racer George Gentle, AKA “Gentle George,” 29, died November 23 in his sleep at his home in Talking Rock, Georgia. The cause of death was not immediately known.

A viewing will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. November 28 at the White-Rosehaven Funeral Home, 8640 Rose Ave., Douglasville, Georgia (770) 942-4246, with services to immediately follow, according to WERA’s Sean Clarke.

Gentle won 2003 WERA Sportsman National Championships in B Superstock and B Superbike.
