July 24th will have the riders of the WERA West Sportsman Series presented by Lucas Oil at Autoclub Speedway in Fontana, CA for a full day of racing. Featuring the GROM Cup by Honda. Also the E Superstock Class which is a Yamaha R3 qualifier to run at the Yamaha bLu cRu R3 Cup Challenge at the 2016 WERA GNF at Barber Motorsports Park October 23rd.
The August 6/7 Pirelli/WERA National and Atlantic Coastal event scheduled at Virginia International Raceway has been cancelled by VIR due to issues with the repaving of the track. “We are very disappointed that this event will not happen and that we don’t have an opportunity to take our riders to VIR in 2016. We are looking at other possibilities but none are viable at this point,” said WERA CEO Evelyne Clarke. The Pro 600cc Superbike Purse originally scheduled for the VIR round will now be moved to the class at the 2016 WERA Grand National Finals at Barber Motorsports Park in October.
