Wegman Benefit Fund Delivers For Haskovec

© 2005, Roadracing World Publishing, Inc. From a press release issued By Wegman Benefit Fund.

Soon after Vincent Haskovec’s crash at Infineon Raceway, a call was placed to the Wegman Benefit Fund by Suzuki’s Morgan Broadhead to see how he could set up a fund to assist Vincent with his medical bills.

The Wegman Fund being a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established solely for this very purpose, took on the task of administering donations for Vincent. Little did we realize the extent of the generosity of the road racing fans and the love and support for Vincent.

On Sunday, September 4th in the winner’s circle at Road Atlanta, Gordon Lunde, founder of the Wegman Fund, presented Vincent with a check for $110,000. All of this money was raised through donations on our website at www.wegmanfund.org. and fund-raising events across the country. The Wegman Fund is administering all funds collected for Vincent through our website as well as the RPM Colorado on-line auction.

A special thank you to all that helped in the fund-raising activities and support; John Ulrich at Roadracing World, Cameron Gray at RPM, Sheri Russell from Cycle News, Eric Bostrom and Mat Mladin (who donated their winnings from the Pikes Peak AMA Superbike race), the Three J’s track day at Infineon Raceway, Angela Sidall, Wendy Hogg from Duc Shop and Will Tate at California Speed Shop. Also to all of the racers, fans and friends of Vincent’s that sent in their donations, your support and hard work for Vincent are truly appreciated.
