Vintage Motorcycle Festival returning to New Jersey Motorsports Park on July 11-13, 2014

MILLVILLE, N.J. – Coming off of a successful inaugural event, New Jersey Motorsports Park and the American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association are pleased to bring the Vintage Motorcycle Festival back to Millville on July 11-13, 2014.

Presale tickets for the 2014 Vintage Motorcycle Festival are on sale now and can be purchased at www.njmp.com, or by calling 856-327-7256.

In its first year, the Festival featured a packed schedule of on-track AHRMA racing, industry vendors, and a vintage motorcycle part swap meet. The event, like last year, will take place at the Park’s 2.25-mile Thunderbolt Raceway, which also plays host to the AMA Pro Road Racing season finale – the Kawasaki Devil’s Showdown — in September.

AHRMA, which traces its roots to the late 1970’s, offers vintage national and regional road racing, motocross, dirt track, observed trials and cross-country competition. The vintage machines featured in the association’s events span a full 50 years, from the 1920s to the early 1970s. AHRMA Road Racing also features “modern” alternative classes for single, twin, and three-cylinder machines.

Drawing guests from around the country in 2013, word about the Festival continues to circulate through the vintage motorcycle community. Officials expect the swap meet to grow in numbers and quality for the second annual event – complementing the awe-inspiring race entries supplied by AHRMA.

“We felt last year was a great start to this event, and we’re looking to grow it as a whole in 2014,” said Brad Scott, NJMP general manager/COO. “Word quickly spread about the swap meet, vendors, and everything else we had going on throughout the weekend. We hope to see an even better turnout from competitors and spectators this July.”

Will Stoner will be coordinating the swap meet and club corral elements of the 2014 event, bringing over twenty five years of vintage motorcycle event experience.

“I’m more than thrilled for the opportunity to work with New Jersey Motorsports Park and AHRMA to grow this event,” said Stoner, of Chagrin Falls, Ohio. “The mid-Atlantic region has always been a hotbed of vintage motorcycle activity and it deserves a top-caliber showcase to celebrate that heritage.”

The swap meet is open to all brands of motorcycles, parts and memorabilia aged 1989 and older. In addition, leather goods and modern accessories will be available in the “Merchandise Midway”.

For swap meet and club corral information, Will Stoner can be reached at 440-591-5099 or by e-mail at [email protected].
