Annandale Honda’s Ty Howard was 10th-fastest on his Michelin-equipped Honda CBR954RR with a time of 1:28.007, but Howard lost the front and crashed at the exit of turn 12 in the second half of the session. Howard was seen walking away from the high-speed get-off into the Airfence, but his condition was not known at press time.
Roger Lee Hayden suffered problems with his Erion Honda CBR954RR in turn seven on the opening lap of practice and sat out the entire Formula Xtreme session.
